Now that would have been funny. Galvatron so smug with this threat, opens the Matrix and detonates Unicron instead. Due to his proximity likely would have blown up Cybertron too
I have my doubts on that as well, since the Matrix selects the bearer based on his or her moral standing at least as much as the person's intent regarding using the Matrix. Galvatron simply wanting to destroy Unicron wasn't out of nobility, it was out of self-importance. He was trying to defend Cybertron, but only just so he would control it. Primus wouldn't approve.Considering the faction distinction is largely arbitrary on a physical level, I did think Galvatron Prime was a potential.
Like Onslaught, except purple and with 1 giant orange cannon instead of 2 smaller silver ones. A true adversary to Optimus Prime, if he was still alive.Also it probably would have looked pretty cool, or akin to Rodimus Prime, he would have been a Cannon-Truck
