I love how Wheelie is being ignored on all those screens. I'm guessing Omega Supreme is supposed to be like...a remnant of Cybertron's golden age, or something.

I can almost imagine the making of the spotlight's cover A... "Yeah, work the camera, Prime, show us your shapely shiny metal..."

Kidding aside, more engaging IDW stuff. What's not to like ?

Yeah, I thought that was classic. Both of the previews look awesome. I love how all of the different books in the IDW verse are starting to really come together. I LOVE continuity. It's a great payoff for those who are following it. Using Prime's "command chair" sessions is a good way to update the various spotlight plot threads.

Also, I noticed that during the break between "chapters," time seems to pass much quicker. Escalation took place over only a couple days, with issues 3-6 all being the same day. Judging by Rachet's dialogue, it looks 3 weeks have passed during the "ongoing" related scenes that we'll see in Spotlights Galvatron and Prime. This also happened in the break between Infiltration and Escalation where at least a few days had passed.

I freaking love the the earlier versions of "Prime" before Optimus. I hope the spotlight on some of them eventually.

For some reason, the images are taking their sweet time to load, and it seems like a few folks on the IDW boards are sayin' much the same...

I'm not gonna lie: IDW's "ongoing" series has been the one thing I've been most excited about in Transformers for ages. My only concern now is hearing something along the lines of a "Spotlight: Rodimus Prime" issue in the future from Roche...man, I hope it's something like Galvatron and winds-up being an entirely new character unrelated to the turbo-revvin' young punk currently on Earth...

Also: Wheelie as comic relief and possible living bullet-shield. May it be the most fan-ly thing Ryall lets slip in the new IDW-verse.

I love the Optimus Prime Spotlight Cover B a lot more than Cover A. Not that I don't appreciate Prime's shiny metal butt, but it's a little too "beefcake" for me.

Personally, I think its about time that someone took Wheelie... and brought him back to his roots.

Serious!

Ever read his tech spec. The dude is suppose to be some screwed up young robot who was abandoned on a planet fending for himself for years (like Kup in the spotlight series). His motto: "Only the fierest shall live."

Wheelie could... if written correctly, and given an updated look, be a badass.

...

Awe heck, who am I kinding?

I do not like that front pic of Prime.

The quality is there, jst that windshield is way to big. It destroys the image.

Otherwise, this is great art, I love the reverse shot of Prime.

Let the Four Horsemen update him. Look at what they did to Orko.

Spotlight Prime is looking spiffy! I thought it would be based pre-infiltration of something, but having it full of a confused Prime after his near death is just bloody clever.

Glad they found Ironhide in Devastation, but I dont think it is going to be as easy as Hot Rod thinks...

While a multi stage rocket being used for his arms should make him Gienormic, it would be hard to consolidate his tank, tread tracking, and launchpad sizes given his ambiguos altmode preportions, be they terran or cybertroninan based.

So.. Using that one picture to establish his height in IDW continuity... I'ld first say the last line of defense is scaled to be 5-6 times Primes height. The drawing's perspective places Prime easily shorter than Omega's mecha knee cap.

I'm thinking IDW's Prime could be about 35 ft tall making Omega anywhere from 175 ft to 210 ft. With Megatron's gun mode mass shifting has been established in IDW so his tank/chest and head could still be any size in his alt mode.

 i miss that toy...

I know this sounds stupid, and I don't mean to be a noob, but does anyone have a link to any kind of timeline, or anything similar so i can read up on it?

Wow. That looks really good.
I really like the bit about what a Prime is. Can't wait to pick this up.
