Oh, you better believe he will get a toy in the Thrilling 30 toyline.

And just hours ago, I happened to read that MSTF script with the "Victory with ball-joints" joke. Damn, that's a weird coincidence.

Actually, here's hoping he doesn't get a toy rushed into production until an IDW Victory Leo design that he can combine with is finalized. Then we're talkin'!

You know they will/won't (pick your favorite).

He had better get toy sometime this year! The G1 figure and Energon Wing Saber just doesn't cut it for me as a sufficient Star Saber.

So, what size class? Leader? Supreme? Titan?

Okay, I wouldn't say any of those. He would feel way too big. I'd wager either Deluxe or Voyager. If they were to make a Victory Leo toy that can combine with Star Saber into Victory Saber, I would go with Deluxe. No combination, Voyager.

Voyager Tarn with a Scout-sized Vos as a Targetmaster. Yeah, think on that for a while. =P~

Looks pretty good. Milne is at his best when he doesn't have to draw a face. Alt mode looks a little naff though.

Oh well, ya win some ya lose some.

i'm all for making new toys out of this or any victory character but i think i would like a reissue of the original for the nostalgia, theres just something about those brick-formers

God I hate these idw designs , what was wrong with his original design?

What's missing from the design is the Mary Jane shoes to fit the Mary Sue character.

Even a giant gestalt is no match for the burning justice of the incomparable, exalted Star Saber, who swoops in and saves both the day and the ineffectual non-Star Saber Cybertrons, each and (almost) every episode.

If you were really a purist railing against change, you'd insist that he continue to speak Japanese. If you can handle the concept of an English-speaking Star Saber, you can adapt.

Other than the fact that though his original design was cool, it still made him, and almost every other brick bot look like a generic super sentai mecha, nothing.

The IDW designs are a well needed and well received improvement as they make the robots look like robots.

My 2 cents: nothing per se. But times have changed since the 80's, so in order to appeal to the masses, the designs have to be changed/updated as well. By today's standards, the designs would be blocky, bland, in other words boring.Thundercats, He-Man, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have gone the updating route too, so why not Transformers?

If you prefer the original designs to remain as they were, nothing wrong with that (everybody got that?). I, for one, welcome the update, but a little less detail can go a long way.

 The level of sarcasm is strong with this one, though I do approve.

Frankly, I'll never understand people who are -that- kind of "purist" (see: stuck in the past). It's not like this is a new design, it's a great update/combination of G1/Energon Star/Wing Saber, and it looks fantastic. His head's even the same as the G1 character, and that's the part that matters!
