The official Transformers Collectors' Club Twitter account has tweeted an image of the front cover for the 53rd issue of their magazine, with artwork by Robbie Musso; the artist is homaging Andrew Wildman's cover from The Transformers issue 69. The TFCC website will be posting a full preview soon, but for now, feast your eyes on the cover below, including the original Wildman art!

And already we see what the 7th "surprise" mold is: the RtS Rumble/Frenzy mold. Question is, who is it? Several possibilities:

- Eject (too obvious)
- Solarbot
- SG Rumble/Frenzy
- Rosanna (who knows?)

Rosan..?--nah, as long as the Rumble and Frenzy tanks are unreleased by Hasbro, they cannot take us all the way with that particular mold.

So they go with the '88 checklist for the "COMING SOON"s on the order form, then issue #69 for the "?" in the eye of the storm. Well played for now, but then what references are left for Round 3's mystery figure? A variation on the "Powerdashers are constantly evolving" order-form disclaimer?

I really hope they do some thing interesting instead of the easy choice. I really don't need another Eject, now flip sides would peak my interest.

The smart money is on Eject for the mystery toy. It would be a lot of fun to be wrong and get a cool surprise, though. Enemy, for example, would be such a great choice.

Love the "Eye of the Storm" homage.

If the 7th figure is Solarbot, I will die of happiness. :KREMZEEK:

Yep, guaranteed it's Eject. I thought the 7th figure was supposed to be a scout sized figure though, or do I have that confused with something else?

Either way, I'm now more comfortable than ever for not having signed up for the subscription service this year. Getting the Autobot cassette brothers is definitely a neat idea, and I definitely applaud the club's efforts, but these guys (nor most of the 2.0 figures) just aren't my cup of tea.

The size class of the 7th figure was kept a mystery ("five Deluxes and a Scout" referred to the six main figures), but if it is Eject, it'll be a Scout anyway.

Ah, I see. I thought the Frenzy/Rumble mold was a Deluxe (I have them). I guess they're just chunky Scouts then?

It just occurred to me what they might do with "Eject" with their not so subtle tease in the middle of this cover. That's too obvious and the Club has rarely done the obvious. Sometimes that's awesome. Sometimes it's not. And then they can use Eject at a later point as a lure to get people to "complete your set" because everyone knows you can't have a Rewind toy without an Eject toy! I bet you they do Solarbot instead from the SG Blaster and Soundwave set, since that's their new character.

If I'm wrong, mixed Energon drinks on the house! :michaelbay:

 I guess anything's possible, especially with these guys. I dunno though. Didn't they say something about the mystery figure being one that would be like a "must have" or something because it would be related to another figure in the set in some way? I recall them saying something along those lines, but I could be misinterpreting hints about something else, like Rewind and Chromedome given the recent developments in the comics (assuming I'm remembering THAT correctly, since I don't read the comics :P).

Geez, am I the ONLY person hoping the 7th figure IS Eject?

If that is the case, then I could see Solarbot being related to Rewind in a way similar to how he was related to SG Rewind: He scanned Rewind's form to gain a physical avatar form in order to interact with the physical plane. So, he could just rescan a new body form from this Rewind and make the connection like that. ;)

Nope, we're just expecting him not to be Eject, knowing FunPub.

Gee, talk about an obscure homage (at least, in my opinion).

Could really care less if it's Eject. But I'd kinda like to see them pull of an Enemy from that mold, though.

And this is the second one they've done, with #50 homaging issue 22 of Marvel G1. ;)

Another character that could be the "mystery" figure is Playback, and Autobot cassette that only appeared in the UK fiction. This characters obscurity is what I want to see in the clubs figure.
