But our current science is incapable of shunning Burn.

I agree, if only to invite further argument! I object to the TF-Prime-ification of GEEWUN-continuity faces, as depicted here. RUINED FOREVER!

Alright fellas, let's not devolve this thread into yet another hate-fest over Windblade (and new things in Transformers in general)...

Windblade has a nose. Your arguement in invalid. :P

Hah, I had forgotten that sh** comic existed. Is that guy still alive?

Also: I agree on the point of Chromia not having a nose, I really don't like that. Not that she needs a nose, she's a robot, but still it just kinda looks off to me. I don't really see how it looks like anime, but I'm not really digging the art-style (yeah, I said I liked it before when the first page was posted, but we didn't really see any detail in that). I guess I just like my robots to look like robots, and not people wearing costumes.

Then again, we don't quite have that good a look at her face in these pics, so maybe later pages could have her face looking more expressively normal, nose and all.

After all, didn't she have a nose visible in Dark Cybertron?

True enough. I hope they go with that. Though there are a couple of good looks at her profile view, and that shot with her and Rattrap. If the nose is not being drawn "just because" then, well it's hard to say that the artist is being lazy given the amount of care and detail with everything else, but that's really all that springs to mind is lazyness. I dunno, maybe I'm just *trying* to find things I don't like about it with the nose thing, but something just feels off with it I guess.

I really like the artwork of the actual comic as well. It's very unlike previous Transformers, but it's kind of soothing on the eyes.

Seeing more of the art from this book so far is making me more excited. :D I think the Windblade art is fastly becoming one of my favourites for IDW along with Alex Milane's MTMTE art.

Also is it wrong to say that Windblade looks awfully pretty in it.? :D

I think that's why I don't like it. Giant alien robots that have been at war for millions of years shouldn't look "pretty". Add to that, it's bordering on sexism, which is ironic given that they're trying to introduce the female gender into Transformers and do so by making her a typical girly girl instead of the bad she was originally being talked up as.

Hold it right there. She HASN'T been at war for "millions of years". She's a recent arrival to Cybertron, having not taken part in any war before now, and is only just now learning about Cybertron and all that's gone down. She's a complete noob here, a clean slate with no warfare history.

Okay, so she hasn't been at war.

She's still a alien robot in a franchise that has known nothing but war. Introducing her as a female and making her "pretty" is sexist.

That's just my opinion, don't like it? Don't care.

That's a pretty big generalization there since the war has been over since December 2011. They've been at peace ever since, however shaky it's been.

Burn wrote:Introducing her as a female and making her "pretty" is sexist.
What do you mean by "pretty"? Sure the artwork looks good, but the character herself isn't some sort of female version of Tracks, all obsessed with glamour and how stylish she looks. We barely know anything about what kind of person she is at this point.

If you think she looks "pretty", that's just you because beauty comes from a subjective viewpoint. Which, like you said, is okay because it's your opinion. But please don't think that she is defined by her looks.

After all, the following pic is the same character, but would you still call her "pretty" in this pic too? ;)
