I sure hope Hasbro gives us more Voyager scaled Beast Wars figures in the future. That Protoform X head makes me want to love my Rampage figure, but then I look at him.

I mean, he's decent, especially for the time. But he doesn't stand on his own, he's super kibbly, and his chrome paint is almost all gone. :-(

And those stupid claws - one of them broke off at the base, and unfortunately that is one crustacean that doesn't regenerate.

I cant wait till these show up in the mail, good times. That Chromedome head is sweet looking and between him, Rewind and Barricade I had to get the sub. Also Threadshot is pretty cool too. Even though I am not a big Beast Wars fan that Thrustinator head looks tight. I also would like an IDW comic line or just more IDW characters figures to keep coming, Brainstorm and Tailgate I am looking forward to very much. :x

And why do you keep bringing up Grimlock when he was a Generations Fall of Cybertron figure and not a Generations Thrilling 30 figure?

This is my last post on the matter, because I don't want people to think that I'm being combative or anything, as it's really not what I'm after.

It's not that I don't understand, it's that you claimed the Generations Thrilling 30 to be the IDW line when it isn't.

I keep mentioning FoC Grimlock because he's a Generations figure and not an IDW figure. If the line were for IDW figures, then why does it include figures that are not IDW ones. Or if Grimlock is the specific sticking point here, then why not Rhinox or Whirl? Neither of them appear in the IDW stuff as these figures, and saying it that way should preempt any confusion over the G1 Whirl of the toy and the clearly not G1 Whirl of the comics.

I think the real 'issue' with Generations as IDW line is that it isn't an IDW line, but a line that includes IDW figures. Like Mindvvipe said, an IDW line would be one that was IDW characters only, the way Prime was a line that contained Prime designs and Prime characters. The old Universe line was not a Beast Wars line because it contained BW figures. This tangent we're having spun out of someone's desire for an IDW-specific line, which Generations isn't.

As a final word on the matter, Generation is basically the catch-all line for anything aimed at collectors now. You may not have noticed it, but starting with Cyberverse, Hasbro has started with the "series ID" monickers for some lines, including Prime and Generations:

Cyberverse
Series 1: Dark of the Moon
Series 2: Prime
Series 3: Beast Hunters

Prime
"Series 0": First Edition
Series 1: Robots in Disguise
Series 2: Beast Hunters
Series 3: Beast Hunters (Simplified)

Generations
"Series 0": War for Cybertron, general updates
Series 1: Fall of Cybertron + their retools
Series 2: Thrilling 30's
Series M4: Age of Extinction

With every new Series comes a new general direction, but Generations Series 2 is a bit of a hodgepodge admittedly, using existing IDW designs for some (cross promotion I'm guessing), and using original designs for others. So it's not strictly IDW and never has been, but in typical Generations fare, goes in whatever direction it pleases, especially for the larger size classes and retools.

these head sculpts look great and all, but when the heck are the figures supposed to start coming out? We are over a quarter of the way through 2014 already.

Gah, Rampage/Protoform X can't get here to grace my shelves fast enough. I still want to pick up Depth Charge before he starts shipping.

If you've got the cash, the EAVI METAL depth charge looks a million times better.

1) Hah, "cash". *transitions from laughing to crying*

2) I didn't know there was a third-party Depth Charge. Will have to Google later.

I don't expect a damn thing until July. They'll come with the Botcon shipment, just like last time. And if there's a third FSS, they'll come with the Botcon 2015 shipment.

I have no faith in their release plan for this stuff :D

My mistake, I mixed up the name Depth Charge with Sky-Byte.

Just a quick note about the TF FSS 2.0 orders. The shipment is now on a container ship heading this way and is scheduled to arrive in Dallas the last week of May.

Provided that there are no other delays, we anticipate on shipping the first month's figures by the first week in June.

Thanks for your patience with the manufacturer's delay.

Didn't realize there was another "manufacturer's delay". Always thought these were made and shipped with the botcon figures to save them some money.

Isn't that almost the EXACT SAME THING they said last year? Down to the "on a boat, headed this way"?

Last year it was the intention of having the Subscription and BotCon figures ship on different dates, one after the other. A tiny miscommunication occurred which cause the manufacturer to think they were to be shipped at the same time.
Either the same thing happened this year, or they thought "Last year worked out fine, why not repeat it for this year"?

or they never had any intention of shipping them separately in the first place.

Why is Ravage in that image? Is he part of the set?

That's Catgut, a repaint of Arms Micron Jida. He goes with Treadshot in this set. In the same vein, Stylor in the middle is a repaint of S.2 and goes to Chromedome. Finally, Frenzy on the left is a repaint of Sou, and goes to Barricade (Movie reference, see?)
