As much as I want them to do Crankcase and Quake, I kinda doubt either of them would be a character Karl Hartman lobbied years to get...

Also it's confirmed to be a deluxe CW figure.

Maybe the 2017 freebie and extra can be Guzzle and Quake since they like sharing molds for those two slots. That would just leave getting Crankcase so we can finish both the Decepticon double Targetmasters and Triggercons.

It'd have been much nicer to get them as a retail release instead of two superfluous :BOT: teams, they could have made skylynx a secondary wavemate, and made the purple griffon guy (Image) the main release

I'm confused as to what superfluous :BOT: teams and what purple griffon you're talking about.

Superfluous meaning they (the 2 '84 teams) were made up of rehashed figures, when we could have gotten the tfss figures instead; and purple griffin being the one from the cartoon in one of the later seasons I think.

I'll agree with that on one level but on another, the TFSS characters are, to most people, pretty obscure characters who haven't had a figure since g1, whereas the autobot rehash limb teams are all relatively well known characters that could be said to be in the main character lineup. In fact, I am amazed they didn't ignore the comics and throw a bumblebee retool of some limb or another at us.

I wonder if many future TFSS lines will have a theme like this one, or if they'll return to a more diverse line?

So by your reasoning I couldn't "take Ratbat out of his package with Frenzy" (because I'd already gotten Frenzy with with either Lazerbeak or Ravage) but that didn't stop me from doing so!
Of course I didn't exactly pay for him either.

hmmm...oh well, crappy dollar means this is another miss for me. Hey Rated X, wanna sell me your Impactor?

There's a new page for the TFSS 4.0 on the Club Site... and it comes with a new reveal!

Click on Needlenose for a mock-up of his robot and vehicle modes! Or just check out the image here:

So he's still a Targetmaster, on top of being a Combiner? Nice. It'd be awesome if his partners could attach to the combined form's weapon.

He's not just a Targetmaster - he's a DOUBLE Targetmaster! :D

I think the new reveal is his altmode, since the guns were shown in the mock-ups at BotCon.

So wait, is the top or bottom of the backpack painted? And his legs? Is he just completely painted, because that mock-up isn't possible otherwise Image

I'm curious about that as well, especially if this does well numbers-wise compared to the previous years' more varied offerings.

I don't mind more cohesive themes for subscriptions, though I have some personal preferences for which themes I'd prefer to see touched on (Diaclone, G2, sub-groups like Action Masters & Pretenders).

I specifically said "and buy it on its own". If you plan on sneaking into FunPub's warehouse, I'm not getting involved.

Oh come on, we could have a web-series! "The Fun and Exciting Mis-Adventures of Nemesis Primal and Burn"

Episode 1 - The Great TFCC Heist
Episode 2 - The Great NP Kickstarter Campaign to raise bail money for Burn

:-P

Looks like the front of the fuselage/backpack, and the front sections of the legs. though it might end up that the whole backpack piece ends up blue, I dunno. we'll have to wait for production samples as opposed to magical photoshops.

It looks like they may have swapped/fixed the picture since then, or I'm absolutely losing my grip on reality, as I swear the fuselage and leg shell pieces were blue earlier today Image

As much as I am tired of all the CW repaints I would buy Needlenose and Spinister if they were in shops because I'm fond of those characters from their roles in the Marvel Comics (both the UK and US). Bringing back the Targetmaster buddies really add to the appeal too. I don't care about the combining (and I don't much like the Bludgeon, I far prefer my Headrobots-enhanced RotF Bludgeon) but the characters, yeah...

Anyone want to sell me Needlenose and Spinister sometime? :)

I really want to sign up for this set, but I'm a bit spooked by the price considering it already being pricy for signing up for the TFCC in the UK. :(

Any UK seibertronians on the board a member of the collectors club?
What sort of price would I be looking at for a club membership and a tfss subscription in our superior great british pounds sterling? :???:

I'm surprised there isn't an option to receive a lump shipment of the figures at the end of the service. That might give international customers more flexibility in cost (cheaper to send all at once) and ease of mind (less possibility of loss or damage).

If this were a proper Needlenose, the tail rudder would be removable and easily lost so it could wind up on eBay for astronomical prices

Depends on Hasbro, I think.

A couple of points support this being said without saying it. We have this Tweet, I think some things were said about more product synergy in the Botcon TFCC panel (maybe not in those words?), and this goes back to what Jerry hinted to me in February (comes around 1 hr 24 minute mark) as well.

In other words, if "Titan Wars" is the theme next year, I'd expect a good amount of TFCC stuff that can jump in with that.

Don't think I should have to write this but just in case: this is all just my speculation.
