What kinds of things does she like to do? If anything, there's a decent amusement park a short taxi/rental car ride away. Not sure if it'll be open in April, though. Couldn't find a date for the 2016 season.

At least it's in a state that I can go to, if I can get money to go.

Historical sites and museums or other fun attractions. I googled St. Louis tourism and found an official tourism site. http://explorestlouis.com/mobile/#/home

It's actually Louisville, Kentucky not St. Louis, Missouri.

Either way, we're excited.

We need a SG BW box set theirs not enough new molds for probably a BWU box set well kinda their could be one though

No we don't. We already have all of the BWSG Predacons made as toys save for Megatron.

Uh, the very idea of Uprising involves using existent molds for the characters.

There's the Frasier Historical museum, Science Center, Zoo, Louisville Slugger factory/museum, Glass Works, lots of caverns to check out, Kentucky Derby museum, Speed Art museum, maybe a show at the Center for the Arts,...

There's actually a lot to do around here.

I don't drink, but for those that do, you're in the bourbon capital of the world. Take the Bourbon Trail tour. Otherwise, there's a TON of bars within walking distance.

The YUM center is right down the road. Maybe there's a concert or game that night.

Anyone that likes to shoot, head over to Open Range or maybe TG&G. That same weekend, you can go to Knob Creek for the Machine Gun Shoot. Huge event. Other than the ranges where you can rent guns for modest prices, there's a couple of covered trading areas, and a huge field lined up with everything you can think of. They all light up a field full of targets for about a minute straight a few times each day. Loud as can be.

The date for this one is kind of odd. Those are the days usually set for JOEcon. Makes me wonder what's up with that.

It's always been that the Conventions were supposed to rotate and swap dates between Spring and Summer. But due to the Transformers movies, BotCon got "stuck" as the summer convention.

Although I think you only have to go back to 2012 for the last April BotCon. So it was only 2014 that interrupted the schedule, and yeah, that was because of Age of Extinction.

While there have been other April BotCons, none have ever been as early as this. This year will be a record-setter, at least in terms of BotCon. I can't speak to JoeCon dates.

And, honestly, I don't really think that the conventions SHOULD alternate. BotCon is the larger convention (by far, from what I understand) and therefore it SHOULD get preferential timing.

I know this post is old as heck, but anyhow, I'm good with this timing because it puts it far enough out from the Kentucky Derby to not have to worry about that circus coming in to town.

Beast Wars! Twenty years ago, the television series and toy line gave Transformers fans, not a new world of Autobots and Decepticons, but one of raging beasts that converted into Heroic Maximal and Evil Predacon warriors! Led by the namesakes of Optimus Prime and Megatron, these Transformers explored worlds of stories that no one had previously thought possible. And while Optimus Primal, Rhinox, Cheetor, Rattrap, Dinobot, Airazor, Tigatron on-board the crashed Axalon, and Megatron, Scorponok, Waspinator, Terrorsaur, Blackarachnia, and Rampage on the broken Darksyde captivated audiences on a weekly basis, other characters stirred the imagination as well. Characters with their own agendas...

As they sat aboard their own personal space station orbiting Cybertron, the Tripredacus Council seemed to defy Maximal Intelligence in every way. Shrouded in mystery and shadows cast by a single hanging lamp, this trinity of high-ranking Predacons plotted their own path to restoring greatness to the Predacon faction. While fans never saw them in combined form on the show, we know that the Predacons General Seaclamp, Cicadacon, and Ramhorn combined to form the fearsome and towering Tripredacus!

Of course, what good is a conspiracy without operatives to carry it out? And the Predacon Council had some of the best operatives for that task! Working as a covert specialist for the Tripredacus Council, Ravage was described as one of the few Generation 1 Decepticon warriors who was rebuilt and reprogrammed... as a Predacon. Given new stealth abilities and one of the Predacon’s most advanced ships, Ravage made his presence known shortly after his arrival on ancient Earth by capturing the renegade Predacon Megatron and dispersing his troops. Although the crafty Megatron soon turned the tides back on the famous feline with his own manipulation and offer, Ravage soon made his true loyalties known - “Decepticons Forever!”

But the former Decepticon wasn’t the only one who had previously sworn loyalty to the Council. Sly, secretive, and scheming, Predacon Secret Police Lieutenant Tarantulas had been a mole inside of Megatron’s crew from the very beginning! Turning into a disgusting, giant spider with the ‘occasional’ mad scientist tendencies and personality gave fans a character the likes they had never seen before in the Transformers mythos.

As BotCon 2016 celebrates the twentieth anniversary of the Beast Wars TV series and toy line, fans can relive these great characters through new toys and a new story! With FIVE new head sculpts spread across the box set and utilizing the awesome Combiner Wars molds from the Transformers Generations toy line, Voyager Class SEACLAMP, Deluxe Class RAMHORN, Deluxe Class CICADACON, Deluxe Class RAVAGE, and Deluxe Class TARANTULAS are ready to join fans’ Beast Wars shelves individually OR joined together as the unstoppable Predacon Battle Master PREDACUS!
Oh YYYYYYEAH!!! :-D This sounds pretty cool! :D Looks like we're finally going to get some legit fiction that's directly about the Tripredacus Council! The real Council as we saw in the cartoon! :APPLAUSE: After all these years, their story will at last be told! Their history will at last revealed! Their secrets will at last be covered! Their--

Beast Wars Uprising: Dawn of the Predacus

Sad thing is, a lot of folks (myself included at the time) were hoping for an Uprising set long before the finalized theme was announced.

I don't understand why this would have been a "be careful what we wish for" moment. I still would have preferred Uprising, myself.

For me personally, I wanted a story about the Council that we saw in the cartoon itself, rather than some new version in another world that has nothing to do with the specific Council that I've always been curious and interested in.

And so I'm glad that it isn't an Uprising version.

Fair enough, I guess. For myself, I don't want more information on that Council. I consider them best left in the shadows. A mystery. The Beast Wars saga is excellent. But I consider it closed. I don't want any more.

So, paying homage to that saga though something based on it, but not it (such as Uprising) is exactly what I want to see more of.

I guess I've just always been fascinated about the Beast Wars cartoon's past. The time that took place before the cartoon's present always intrigued me with the little hints we got of it from the show. What Cybertronian life was like before the Axalon and Darksyde traveled back in time and such.

The show always kept it just out of reach, and when the series ended with the characters going back to Cybertron to take part in a Cybertron-based sequel series, I was excited to think that we might finally get to see the world that these guys left behind at the start of the series up close and personal (Beast Wars was my first series, so I'd never seen G1 back then). But then when Beast Machines came along with its empty Cybertron having had its populace stripped of its life, I was a little miffed that we got robbed of the chance to see the same world that these characters had come from before the Beast Wars, as the dead world they found in this new series wasn't the same world they had come from.

I view the Tripredacus Council from the cartoon as a part of that wondrous world that I wish to know more of.
