Weird, maybe. Alone, not so much. It was a fun way to justify the borrowed limbs, plus a combiner that abducts members seems to me like it could potentially be an interesting comic/episode/whatever if somebody made use of the concept.

I know there's a story, but I want a Punch/Counterpunch to fill the hole in my Generations collection especially since they have so many other year 4 characters now, his omission is even more glaring.

I may be mad... but here is [mostly] Modulus in all of his glory.

A few months back I made a custom Ratchet using a shapeways head and ordering the sticker set from ebay. I replicated the clear HFG by using a clear blue "glass acryllic" from model masters. I don't have Medix, but in putting the group together I realized what TFCC was going for and used an Alpha Bravo to even out the two fliers, two ground vehicles and all white limbs. I did some custom work to a spare Scattershot's head a while back and added a sort of chaotic wash to finish it all out. Originally designed as a unique look for Betatron, but it fits this motif better I think. Sure this belongs in the customs thread, but I think it's relevant here, let me know what you think!

Pete Sinclair has chimed in on the choosing of SG Starscream:
So, it bears repeating, we will be explaining why it was SG Starscream and not say SG Double Pretender Optimus Prime at Pete's Robot Convention. Don't want to give too much away, but had the TFSS continued it would not have been SG Starscream. Looking forward to sharing the story at the panel!

That Starscream actually looks pretty neat! I like Shattered Glass, at least in concept (certain characters aside *COUGH*Ravage*COUGH*) and he looks pretty cool like that.

Speaking of exclusive redecoes- is the Generations Drift mold worth the price? I was considering trying to track down an SG Drift as it comes with extra accessories and looks cooler IMO than regular Drift, and he isn't THAT much more expensive than a regular Drift (at least on eBay) but if the base mold isn't that good I might give it a miss.

I've never read any SG stories, but for all intents and purposes I want to keep the allegiances of my Combiners united. Is SS Starscream good or evil? I believe he is good, as I think SG takes place in an opposite universe where Decepticons are heroic and Autobots are evil...but just want to make sure. I was originally going to make him a limb for Wreckage but the white really matches well with my Op Maximus which is already composed of almost all white Transformers. Cant see any clearly discernible faction symbols from the pics...

Yup, that's the deal with SG - your general morality swap universe. So Starscream's a humble, loyal and intelligent right-hand man to Megatron, who brings peace by thwarting tyranny :D

Cool. You know for all the cliche' stories, the original Transformers animated series never did the generic Universe Allegiance Swap thing, Go-Bots did though, and it was hilarious fun, I'll never forget Wen Kroy City.

Good to know SG Starscream would fit in well with *Standard* Universe Autobots, once they got past the whole *I'm from another universe please don't shoot* dialogue upon first meeting ;) .

Funny thing is, the SG universe has close contact with TFCC's Classics universe (which is a divergent timeline of Marvel G1). So there've totally been some awesome Autobot and SG Decepticon team-ups and it's something I'm a huge fan of myself!

Slap some white boarder Autobot symbols over the 'Con ones and call him Storm Jet or R-Blade.

well Drift-pool is a nice deco and if he is close to regular Drift's price, i think he would be worthwhile.

And here's my photographic contribution!

Image

Wreckage, and for comparison's sake, Ruination. Or as I like to think of him, tied with mold-mate Bruticus for the title of 'worst Transformers combiner made'. :-x :BANG_HEAD: If the figures weren't on clearance at the Walmart I work at/the only real hope I had of getting these characters at the time, I would've passed on Ruination completely.

Anyway, as for Wreckage and Series Five? It's cool, and been a fun ride. I only joined with Series Four, but it's still been neat. I've liked the figures we got from both waves, and Wreckage is neat. Thunder Mayhem, too. ShatterScream... eh? It's a neat toy, but I never got into Shattered Glass all that much. He's not bad, and from what little I've seen, SG is cool. It's just... not something I got into. So I'm not really where to place the guy. :(

Things a mirror-universe Starscream might say:

"Megatron knows what he's doing."

"I hate it when they leave me in charge..."

"My voice isn't THAT deep, is it?"

"Thanks for the rebuild, being 'twinsies' with Skywarp was starting to get weird."

"Well, carabast." (Everyone loves a good voice actor joke, right?)

He's got a clear red weapon and a cockpit behind his head, how about calling him Sky Blast?

So I finally got the final three figures today and I have a question for those with their own Toxitrons.

Is mine the only one with one of each style hip ratchet? The right hip has the older style while the left hip has the revised version. This makes for a very frustrating figure.

Haven't checked mine yet, but you might wanna contact Fun Pub about that ASAP.

That shouldn't even be possible, given such changes are usually carried over to all future releases, in other words they're usually permanent.

I think maybe they just didn't want to spring for new art or stock photography that they'd use only once for something they didn't expect most people to try to make anyhow, and Predacus's silhouette was deemed close enough.

I contacted them and am awaiting their reply. I have no idea how this even happened. Maybe some out there have the old style in both hips and people don't notice because the legs both sit in the same position and I'm only noticing because of the drastic difference in where each leg is in relation to the other. I've opened the thighs up three times now and the ratchet pieces that sit on the springs are indeed different pieces and that's the only thing wrong.

Until I get a reply, I switched the parts in question out with an extra G2 Motormaster that I didn't have anything else better to do with. Not that it matters since they're interior pieces anyway but the colors match almost perfectly between the ratchet parts I switched.

Decided to give Modulus a shot using Scattershot and 3 Hasbro Protectobots. I think it turned out well.

Someone's armor is too shiny, but he's about to fix that.

(Nice take on Modulus too, BTW.)

The more I think about Modulus (the actual suggested assembly per the instructions), the more I think it would be almost impossible to do....

Given the fact that at the BC2016 build-a-figure event each person received only one figure. I've never seen a completed Medix for sale on eBay. I figure most fans were doing one of the 4 Ratchet variants for themselves, and most fans that have these do not want to part with them. There's been one sealed/unpainted Ratchet on eBay forever, the seller is asking $350 for it.

Considering there were 5 different versions of the figure you could make, I guess if someone built themselves a Medix, and was willing to get a UW Ratchet (by itself is hard to get, but the Lynxmaster set is about $150), it could be done...I would like to see a *real* (as suggested) Modulus pic sometime, but I doubt we will see one any time soon.

I've already resigned myself to the fact that I'm not even going to try to get this because my "Modulus" would require getting 4 of the 5 build-a-figure variants, then of course not having the 5th would bug me, but then it would also bug me even more that there was no combiner to put it with, it would truly be "alone" so nope...way too expensive, not going there.
