I think that's kind of weird, since none of the other hand foot guns are translucent. It's cool and all, and I do find it interesting, but none of the combiners have that, so it seems a little like maybe CW Ratchet is not actually supposed to be a part of any combiner team? ....Which itself seems odd, since apparently every Autobot in CW is now part of a combiner team?

I know the custom class figure is usually some real random thing, but this seems real .....pointless-ish? SG Ratchet is a neat idea though.

The bios for everyone but SG Ratchet state they're expressly alt combiner limbs for the Protectobots for in case someone is unavailable.

Unite Warriors Starscream comes with one right? So this is what we get in the U.S.

I do like the idea, you are right though. You'd have to use someone else's HFG to fit in better on a G1 Optimus based combiner. At least I would have to..

One of the G1 Ratchet bios says that Ratchet's combiner hand has healing powers, which would fit with the translucent look of it.

Also, the class exclusive accessory is an Enigma of Combination that can fit inside the chest of the CW Optimus/Motormaster mold.

Trying to get the Transformers fandom to come to consensus on something? Sisyphus has it easy by comparison.

The Transformers wiki does list all of the customs Botcon's released, though!

I'm hoping fans can put together some high res scans to post of all the various stickers... for those who want to try customizing their assembled figures.

I'm surprised Reprolabels hasn't yet tried making their own sets of BotCon custom class toy stickers for any of the previous years.

Too much work, not enough payoff.

If stickers are being used on these then

Why no stickers on the pegs?

Both of these characters have detailing on their chests - it'd really help sell the mold as the character...

Since the pegs are moving parts, stickers might tear off of them more easily than on non-moving parts.

Yeah, what would work better would be coloured pegs, like Takara does.

Maybe, maybe not. The Golden Ticket and tour/class attending pickups are tonight, so we'll know the GT figure by then, assuming it's given out then. Sometimes the convention comic's program material at the back is really explicit on what the souvenirs are, some years it isn't. Worst case, tomorrow evening all should be known :D

william-james88 wrote:But i have a question guys, does this mean that there will now be a new entry for toys in the TF Wiki for:
1. Why does it matter what another fansite does? It doesn't make it any more official or unofficial than the data we input here.

2. I imagine in our resources this will just be "Custom Class Ratchet" or something to that effect, unless we get the hookup for some reason and have to distinguish different versions just for gallery purposes. SG Longarm had an extra optional head and extra optional stickers but it's still the same toy no matter what different parts, paint, or stickers were applied in a context where the specific reason for the toy's existence is to teach convention attendees how to take a toy and apply different parts, paint, or stickers to make it uniquely theirs.

Not the best comparison as SG Longarm's optional parts were explicitly for a disguise mentioned in his bio. He didn't have multiple bios like this class' packet does. The G2, SG, and Medix versions are all different characters.

Medix's bio mentions that he is the 9'th (!) Protectobot after Rook, Heatrock and Skyfeather (Nice homages Funpub I really hope those guys are toys in the future preferably not as exclusives but whatever)

And with Ratchet being a replacement for First Aid in G2 that means there is at least 10 potential Protectobots that can exist.

Then Add character's such as the Rescue bots and emergency Vehicle based guys such as Prowl, Red Alert and Inferno you could potentially have a small army of Protectobots that's insane you could have a whole toyline in one or two years around this concept!

This is his bio image might be sideways

... okay, after reading that he's part of some big Protectobot collective, I really want Medix now. There'll be other Ratchet figures, we can count on that; I doubt there will ever be another Medix. ... that's, uh, not made exclusively for 2 year olds

bring on heatrock and skyfeather TFCC imo

Our site has the bios so I wonder in that case if all 5 bios would be under that same entry. The bios do count as fiction and thus each of these renditions has their own fiction and is their own character. I also wonder if you, who has once claimed to be a completionist at least for this modern era, see this as 1 toy or 5. Also, along with the bios, don't certain faction logos change the identity of the character? Like G1 or G2, and if those stickers are official and change the identity of a character then dont they count as different characters, all because of the stickers chosen? If the custom class was just Battle Core Prime with one set of stickers for Thunderclash and another to turn him into another Nova Prime, would that not be thunderclash and nova prime?. And that Medix would be a different character no? Do you see it as the first classics rendition of a rescue bot or should that claim be kept for a later release that is truly unique or at least individualized?

Just curious as to how you see things and how you would consider these for your colelction (both the real and hypothetical statements presented). When you have time of course ;)

PS: And dont worry Scott, I aint no turncoat, just a curious dude :)

Under-3 from CW Breakdown mold
Tigatron from the boxset Ravage
Airrazor from the Legends Slipstream remold

Same, not finding them.

Also, Golden Ticket exclusive is the Flash Sentry, a translucent blue redeco of Shockwave with a Reflector head (I'm assuming that Reflector is the troop builder [WANT] and this guy is like a clone of something?).
