I'd also love to see the previous Cannonball title holders, and if there was any attempt by them to keep a continuity going (did they all have the Oingo Boingo skeletons? or is that the current one's signature?).

All of the pirates in the two packs and army builders turn out to be Cannonball's of 2-3 varying molds and colour schemes. 8-}

I wouldn't expect much outside of Cannonball's toy bio since the most substantial, character exploration-based fiction the Club produces comes from the text stories, any of which they haven't published since 2011 and the next one coming up will return to focusing on the dimensionally-displaced G1 GoBots.

Not to mention how this year's convention comic story is supposed to be the concluding story of the Wing Universe, wrapping it up into its end; so Cannonball here will be starring in this continuity's final chapter.

Though, we did get a glimpse at one of the previous Cannonballs of the past, who was a Decepticon Warlord that led the Maraudicons, but not much else was touched upon him before Deathsaurus murdered him along with the other Warlords.

It's stupid.

This repaint is an exclusive...of a repaint, which IMO was better when it came out in 2006. And you guys are excited?

Man what will they think of next.

It's no different than when e-HOBBY made that Generations Magnificus toy, which itself was an exclusive redeco/remold based on another redeco, only the one that that one was based on was also an exclusive. And yet, people wanted that Magnificus.

Eh, come again? 8-}

Given past trends, we can expect the next reveals on the 10th, 17th, 24th and the 31st of March: one for every week. I wonder who's next. :-?

He's mad that this exclusive Cannonball toy is just a mere redeco based on a character who was also just a mere redeco.

I compared it to the Generations Magnificus toy that was also an exclusive redeco based on an existing redeco (G1 Magnificus, whom I also noted was an exclusive itself).

People are still surprised BotCon exclusives are repaints and retools of existing toys? :???:

I guess when you hear 'exclusive' you assume it's something new and special, but most Hasbro 'exclusives' are just repaints of their previous toys, but we sometimes see items from older lines that were cancelled and repurposed for a new series, thus feeling 'new' to us. Lest we forget the very first BotCon toy, G2 Breakdown, a straight redeco of his G1 toy?

FunPub doesn't have the resources to make new molds (save for four new heads at Botcon, and something like two-three new heads a year for their own member exclusives and subscription service). They're not a giant multi-national business like Hasbro.

Doesn't mean we can't love 'em and spend way too much money on them though. ;)

It's not that this Cannonball is a mere redeco that bvzxa was bothered by. It's that it's a redeco that is based on something that was already a redeco to being with, instead of a redeco with a more original deco.

BotCon has announced Jack Angel as the latest special guest to appear at this year's event in Pasadena, Ca. Angel joins the previously announced voice talent Susan Blu, Hal Rayle, and Michael McConnohie.

JACK ANGEL got his first real break voicing characters for the 1970’s SuperFriends cartoon. From there he would go on to voice numerous cartoon characters of all shapes and sizes with some from a whole ‘nother world! Transformers fans know Jack for the various characters he played on the 80’s G-1 cartoon series, from Ramjet, Astrotrain and Breakdown to Smokescreen, Ultra Magnus and Omega Supreme!

In addition to his work on Transformers, Jack’s voice could be heard on G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero, The Real Ghostbusters, Jem, Tailspin, Darkwing Duck, The Mask, Fox’s Spiderman and many other series!

Jack has recently starred in Toy Story 3 as Chunk and in different Smurf’s features/video games as Papa Smurf. Come see Jack on Friday, Saturday and Sunday for panels, autographs and at other special events featured at BotCon 2014!

Thanks for clarifying Sabrblade.

I wouldn't compare this to the new E-Hobby Magnificus. The history of the figure and the fact that it's an update just like Classics Perceptor is an update to G1 Perceptor, the Magnificus repaint was pretty much a done deal.

I'm on the fence because the Prime molds were pretty weak with the exception of the First Editions. I'm sure convention collectors will be happy with this repaint but I stand by the Cybertron repaint is still a heck of a lot better.

Here is our second figure reveal from the BotCon 2014 Convention set - PIRATES VS KNIGHTS! Formerly part of Squadron X, Ferak and his brother in arms, Tornado, have now joined with Cannonball's crew of PIRATES to seek glory and riches! Each contributing skills key to the success of the heist, how can the Heroic Cybertronian KNIGHTS put an end to the plunder?

This year's amazing five-figure set explores a whole new theme while also celebrating 30 years of the Transformers! This is more than just a homage set though, as it brings characters from across the mythos into the Fun Publications "G1 cartoon" universe, with a couple more surprises still in store for you!

The mold works on so many levels it is too perfect.

All he needs is to have that white replaced with pastel lavender.

So beside Sabrblade and the three other people in the entirety of the cosmos who know about this character extensively, can anyone tell me why, oh why I should care about this garish repaint that makes machine wars Skywarp look impressive?
