ive replaced cosmos and swerve already. but id be hard pressed to replace any others. i still love their gears, beachcomber, outback, and brawn. huffer and seaspray i still love, but would like scaled with the others. hasbro would have to make some pretty amazing figures to contend with the rest. strangely enough, igears swerve and cosmos were the weakest and thus most replacable.

and i was totally on board with igears powerglide and wheelie, but its been so long i doubt theyll ever see the light of day.

I really hate the Igears Gears... his head sculpt looks like The Juggernaut, I've replaced it with Maketoy's Gears which I'm not really happy with either, might replace it with the Hasbro version when i get my hands on it.

There's really not that much of a height difference betwen the iGear and Generations Cosmos figures:

Most of the former's height is in its shoulders than its head.

i think igears gears (lol) was pretty close to the source material. he always looked dumb.

funny thing though, im glad i have all the igear figures anyways. i know theres a lot of micron love out there, but the legends microns are not as functional as id like. i dont like em big and clunky. but the igear weapons go quite nicely with my legends figures. cause damn i love that lil space laser :P

Totally with you on this. The new "Minicons" are just a mailed in effort. I don't expect crazy advances in Minicon engineering, but these feel like a huge step back from even the pretty simplified Power Core Combiner era Minicons.

That said, some of them are still cool as hell, like the Space Shuttle guy and Tailgate's Bulldozer, but on their own they don't hold up to even 12+ year old Armada molds - which is a line known for its simplicity!

true that.

but even though its ridiculous, i do like tailgates pooper scooper micron :P

None of those are worth $84, not even for club aftermarket prices.

id actually like to make an amendment:

not only is BBTS sold out of half of them (already!) but theyre cheaper at Ages3AndUp, with actual preorder stock left.

i preoerdered everything i could with BBTS, found A3AU, cancelled everything with BBTS, preordered everything with A3AU, all in a span of about 4 minutes. its a good store for me as well being canadian and all.

Yeah, those prices are more appropriate.

At the point that you're preordering all of them, wouldn't it be better just to get a membership and order through the Club, and then sell the ones you don't want?

Also, Reflector is my favorite minicon. He's adorable, and integrates really well with Skrapnel in bug mode.

i had thought about that. but being in canada, the membership is more expensive. and im not sure what these figures actually cost to members? shipping is a bit irritating as well... they always use 3rd party carriers which i have quite a distaste for and usually have fees on top of fees.

I believe it was $297 (+shipping) for 3.0... I can understand the Canada thing, tho.

ha! ive thought about just to save shipping on ebay and all those damn american webstores

but A3AU all together was about 400. if i went the official TFCC route, i bet id pay a minimum of 25 bucks shipping on each figure. whichever route i go, its gonna cost me :-(

Man, those preorders kill me. I don't want but 4 out of the 6 in 3.0, but it's still cheaper for me to just hunker down and pay Funpub for the whole round. :sigh:

Which ones don't you want? I by and large like them, despite my initial disappointment, with the exception of the seekers.

But that's where eBay comes in...

shajaki - your best bet might be to find a willing friend in the USA to take shipments, then send the batch of 7 bots to you at the end of the year. (Given, you'd have to wait a bit.) >:oP

Serpentor and Carzap do nothing for me. I'm worried about QC on Serpentor as well, the Takara Generations Ratbat had a ton of breakage problems. Although Devcon wasn't so bad so hopefully that's an unfounded worry.

I have no attachment to Carzap, but I do like the mold. Same with Serpent OR. I hope Tarantulus fits in with the other Club BW characters, but I doubt that will be an issue.

I'm more worried about the Seekers, just by virtue of that mold being milked to infinity. But as of now, I plan on selling them anyway (although that may very well change).

That poor classics Starscream mold... I haven't gotten a figure based on that mold in a while. I wonder how it's holding up?

Wow. Yet ANOTHER Seeker repaint with a new name. How do people justify the expensive of membership with getting repaints in return?

I'm pretty happy about him! This particular version of the mold is difficult to come by at a decent price. Since We've already got an update of Thrust more widely available at retail, the fact that a toy of an obscure character was made out of a rare mold is good news to me!

Love that seeker mold and cant get enough of it. But I wonder why Nacelle's bio says that it is a "he" when it has a girls name ?

That's all we'll be getting, no new-mold toys aside from heads.

Besides, it's not the figure, but the history behind the deco, in this case Thrust's prototype colors. But since some couldn't care less I'll just pretend I never said anything. >:oP

And guys, "Nacelle" isn't a made-up, feminine name, it's an actual word, like Thrust, Dirge and Ramjet. It's the housing for an engine, fuel or equipment, separate from the fuselage.
