At BotCon this year, the Transformers Collectors' Club revealed five of the six figures being sold in the Transformers Subscription Service 4.0. Those five were Ruckus, Windsweeper, Spinister, Needlenose, and Bludgeon - Members of the Mayhem Attack Squad and components to the Mayhem Maximus combiner.

Now the sixth figure for TFSS 4.0 is ready to be revealed! One of the last survivors of his team, IMPACTOR seeks revenge against the Mayhem Attack Squad. Willing to put it all on the line, this gruff warrior will show he's made of the metal to stand up against any combiner!

Also part of the TFSS 4.0 will be a BONUS mystery seventh figure - a Deluxe - who will ship with the last figure in the subscription.

This is an early mock up for Impactor. Final colors and sculpt may vary.

That is a spot-on use of that mold. Is the plan for the headsculpt to be the one used on the Generations version, but with a new face? Or is it planned to be all new?

Nicely done.

This is smart and I think a lot of people will really enjoy it.

That being said, who wants to commit to buying mine right here, right now? I'm waiting to impact your life with this fine toy.

So, having never done or really paid attention to it before, how much should this set cost all together? I know you need the sub service and that you get ramjet/skywarp for "free", and you can buy the other; but how much will this set cost on top of that?

Oh hey deluxe impactor. And one from a pretty rockin mold to boot. That being said, like a good 25% of the figures they put out, Impactor kinda deserves his own mold. Mostly because well one he hasn't had one and two, this one gets the silhouette but he doesn't really look like impactor. Also painting one hand and ignoring the to evoke the weapon arm is kind dumb it just looks like he has one orange glove on. So, it looks like a fun toy, but if I really want impactor, i'll cough up a bill for Reformatted Spartan.

That this thing exists is a pretty strong indicator that Hasbro has no plans to make a unique-mold Impactor anytime soon.

FoC Ruination redux? Nah... couldn't be, though Leaders have been legs before (Goryu and maybe Scrapper).

Yeah I know, but there have been cases when hasbro makes figures of the characters after the club does. I mean off the top of my head there was scourge, and Kup, Breakdown (G1/G2) and Sky-Byte. Rumor says there's going to be a new Rewind and eject, and I know it doesn't really count seeing as Takara Tomy is making her for a different market, but there is legends Slipstream.

Much later, yeah. Meaning that if Hasbro's ever gonna do a new-mold Impactor figure, it won't be for a good while, letting the Club give us this one now instead of later.

"Any time soon" meaning within the next year or two. Scourge and Kup have the shortest time between their BotCon and main retail releases: over 1 year.

Look, the point is, it's happened, and it's not completely out of the realm of probability for hasbro to make another impactor down the road, that was my point. I feel this is a serviceable toy that looks like a version of an impactor, but if i want a impactor, i'll just buy the MMC Spartan; if that makes sense. In fact, a better analogy, This impactor feels like Combiner wars Prime, a perfectly serviceable version of some depiction of the character.

Indeed, as the Club figure are merely (rather expensive) retools, they're merely fancy placeholders for some characters, depending. For others, they're well, the only figures available. Hard to gauge what characters Hasbro will do...
Also odd: usually it's Club figure first, then main retail, but now the opposite has happened, fiction notwithstanding (FOC vs. Wings?).

Very disappointing. Not only do we already have a non-tank repaint of Impactor in the FOC line, but we also have a beautiful Impactor figure coming out very soon courtesy of MMC. This is a total waste. They could have done quake from the Brawl mold to complete the targetmaster jr set. (no excuses since onslaught is being used) They could have done crankcase and complteted the triggercon lineup (and the retooled swindle mold would have actually worked) Or they could have made up for the biggest screw up in Botcon history and done Flywheels from the Doubledealer version of the Blitzwing mold (that funpub claims they didnt know existed until it was too late) I really hope the 7th mystery figure makes up for this.

I think the club has the ability to do really good stand alone figures, DoFP, Stunticon Job, Machine Wars, TFSS Scourge, G2 redux, ultra mammoth. But when it comes to certain characters, Slipstream, Rewind, Chromedome, Eject, Nova prime, mostly IDW, they aren't very good place holders because those character deserve so much more in the way of toys whether that be a new mold depicts that character more accurately, or more new tooling to do so. Even if the way the club justifies it is that they are an "alternate universe version" of the character that's why they look different, it dosen't work for me. Just imagine if the club made a "(not) IDW" Brainstorm in the same vain as Chromedome, it's clearly meant to fill in on your lost light motley crew but it isn't a very good depiction of brainstorm, the character deserves something more.

I'm not sure i get it, can i have something more specific :-?
