They released it as Astrotrain because Hasbro was unable to secure the trademark for the name "Spacewarp".

Though, it's cool that the original Spacewarp character is now a confirmed fembot. 8-)

They were nostalgic but that's about it. I'd much rather have new versions of characters. The only G1 reissue I truly wanted was Fort Max and I got him.
This is fair, but just for the heck of it, what about the opposite case - new characters as G1 toys? For instance, Barricade from the original Prowl based on Guido Guidi artwork:

I'd want that Barricade first and foremost as an MP redeco. (Smokescreen arms and head, and Prowl everything else, with a new scowling face?) We need more Decepticons!

They already made G.B. Blackrock.

And Circuit Breaker's owned by Marvel.

While I am extremely happy with my Kreon, I'd be happy to see a 3 1/2" figure made, as well.

Same, here. Using GI Joe molds and mixing/matching would be a great idea and get us a lot of human characters.

As awesome as that is, I'd much rather have it as a Masterpiece figure than a G1 figure. I just would end up putting it away like the other new characters like Road Rage, Crosscut, etc.

Well I have yet to actually attend a TF convention or join the club and I most likely never will, but let's assume that I somehow manage to get to one of these conventions and can afford a boxset.

(Note: I realize some of these would be impossible due to the molds either no longer existing or being unavailable for use. This is just what I'd like to see.)

Boxset Idea #1: HERALDS OF UNICRON:

Theme: Self-explanatory.

>Galvatron remolded from Animated Voyager Megatron with new head and new cannon.
>Scourge remolded from Energon Mirage/Dreadwing with new head.
>Cyclonus remolded from Animated Voyager Starscream with new head.
>Shokaract remolded from Prime Shockwave with new head and triple-barreled cannon in place of his "hyperflux cannon".
>Nemesis Prime remolded from Beast Hunters Voyager Optimus Prime with new head and his sword replaced with a big ol' scythe.
>Sideways remolded from UW Groove, with 2 new heads- the second one replacing his combiner plug (so you spin the combiner joint around to switch his head).
>The Fallen remolded from Combiner Wars Megatron with a new head and chest, and soft rubber translucent flames that can clip onto him. (Yeah he'd be kinda big next to the others, but who cares, he's The Fallen, he can be any size he wants.)
>3-pack of "Mites of Unicron" remolded from the Cybertron Unicron figure, with new heads.

Whew. That got pretty long. How about a less costly idea?

BOXSET IDEA #2: "The Peacemakers".

Theme: Cybertron's very own girl group, the Peacemakers formed after the end of the Great War. They travel the universe, singing their beautiful songs to the many races of the cosmos, with lyrics about love, peace and the mind-breaking horrors of war (their lesser known 7th album was recalled for focussing a little bit too much on the latter).

>Lyzack remolded from Beast Hunters Starscream with a new head, chest and a microphone accessory. Based on Lyzack, Leozack's sister from the Victory manga.
>Gasket remolded from Generations Chromia with a new head and a guitar accessory. Based on (the already pretty girly-looking) Cybertron Ransack/Galaxy Force Gasket, except female.
>Firestar remolded from Universe 2.0 Kup, with new head and bass guitar accessory. Based on G1 Firestar.
>Strongarm remolded from Prime Kup, with new head and keyboard accessory. Based on RID2015 Strongarm.
>Strika remolded from Prime Breakdown with a new head and drum-kit accessory. Based on BM Strika.

Traditionally speaking, Fun Pub has only been about to remold one aspect of any mold they use, which is typically the mold's head. So a lot of those extra remolding ideas might not be doable to such an extent.

And before one brings up BotCon 2014 Scorponok, the only change to that mold was its head and head base being replaced by a single new neck piece. The new Headmaster wasn't a second remold of Scorponok, it was a remolded Spike, which is a different mold on its own.

And this year's Oilmaster was a brand new mold, yes, but was done not by Hasbro but by Boss Fight Studio. And the actual Swerve and Flanker molds themselves were unaltered, straight redecos.

This is a little weird, but I want a yellow, preferably Decepticon version of the Firefly/Quickslinger mold so I can complete this:

Let's be fair, it's less obscure than where Nacelle came from.

Also, over here in the other thread, Hellscream9999 suggested "Dark Designs" Predacon Rhinox from Generations Rhinox would be a great figure for the 20th anniversary, and I'd like to second that.

Alpha Bravo is the only one actually colored like his toy there, isn't he?

Skydive is in Fireflight's colors, and Air Raid is sorta Cybertron Thundercracker-colored (ie gray with orange wing tips).

Other than the orange tips I think it might be the lighting, either for the photograph or in the art itself, but even if it's not, the other three are at least close enough to pass. Yellow right arm is kind of the odd one out.

A show accurate black redeco of 1st Edition Bumblebee from Prime and a blue/yellow redeco of BH Smokescreen.

Honestly, if they ever used the Ultra Magnus mold, I'd like to see an updated Sentinel Maximus. Paint Minimus Ambus as Uplinq, and the obvious new head mold in place of Magnus's.
I think that would be awesome, and work rather well, all things considered. I dig my Sentinel Maximus, but man that character sure could use some modern articulation

I still want humans. Two-packs? Like Spike and Carly, Sparkplug and Chip, Lennox and Epps...

This was posted elsewhere on the boards, and I think it's a slick idea perfect for a TFCC/Botcon release:

Seconded. These are exactly the types of collection holes I'd like to see the club be able to fill. Hopefully Hasbro wouldn't crap on the idea too hard, as it seems they're very ready to move on from Prime forever.
