Fellow Seibertronians, straight from Botcon we bring you photos of the Transformers display at Botcon. The central display is a diorama showing off the various Platinum Edition, and Titans Return figures. Other notable figures include our first look at Warrior Class Bisk, and the G2 Combaticons, in all of their neon glory. So check out the pictures below, and let us know what you think of them.

Is that a 'new' warrior class ratchet? Obviously, it would be a remold of strongarm, but they went out of their way to change him if they did :-?

So much I want here, so little money :-(

Also just remembered something that has always bugged me. Brawl g2 colour scheme, directly ripped from g2 megatron?

Also loved the fortress diorama, poor astrotrain, now he is only holding on to one wing and a prayer :-P

Yep, that is a new Warrior Ratchet that we had no idea was coming. Yes it is a retool of Strongarm, but the tooling makes for a big different :MAXIMAL:

Going to go ahead and point out some things I noticed;

*Chromedome's package art uses a head very similar to Getaway, seemingly confirming it's coming existence

*The back of Astrotrain's packaging reveals Deluxe Wolfwire (Weirdwolf), Titan Master Apeface, and Voyager Alpha Trion.

*Chromedome's packaging also reveals Deluxe Highbrow and Titan Master "Clobbler" (Grimlock?)

*In the display with PMOP and Pyra Magna back-to-back, PMOP is wielding Alpha Trion's sword.

Ratchet looks ok, but my TFPrime one needs no replacement.

I got the beast hunters version, so I will probably get this one since it is actually white and has his regular head.

But overall, RiD is hitting it out of the park now. Really awesome job :MAXIMAL:

The remolding on Ratchet is too extensive and specific for him to be a toyline only character.

One of the upcoming RID episodes talks about "An old friend" helping the Autobots so one can only assume it is either him or Jazz.

That last pic looks like Max is about to start spanking Astrotrain with his own wing.

Some nice looking stuff, but I'm going to try and limit myself on this line to just the Rebirth Headmasters. And Galvatron. Because Galvatron.

Also that Sentinel Prime is mine not will be mine because it already is mine and no force in the universe will stop me from going out of my way to find him.

Just only a few more months and Sentinel...You're coming home, old friend.

I wonder what the third-party market will be doing once the Titan Masters go on sale? The little headmaster figures are simple enough that we might see a lot of them being manufactured and/or 3D-printed.

For instance, I can imagine someone selling a set of original GoBot characters as little Titan Masters.

I wonder if Hasbro just blew the bulk of their presentation right there? All the new guys look really good, particularly Wolfwire and Highbrow. Alpha Trion looks really evil! Clobber does look to be Grimlock, I wonder if he'll come with Crashbash's dino/dragon vehicle? Sad to see Apeface will be just a Titan Master, was hoping for a Voyager Triplechanger.

Oh, and if you guys think Astrotrain got it bad, there's a Chromedome torso in there with just one arm and no legs, they're scattered around.

#BotCon2016 Generations Combiner Wars Box Sets: Victorion and G2 Bruticus

PostPosted: Fri Apr 08, 2016 5:32 pm
by Va'al
Another gallery from the Hasbro area at BotCon 2016, after the initial floor shots, comes once more in the regular Seibertron.com definition, and in the form of the two Combiner Wars box sets: Victorion and G2 Bruticus!

Remolds of pre-existing Combiner Wars figures in the former, stepping directly out of the IDW comics and Sara Pitre Durocher's pen, with the newly hued seafoam green, combined sword and exclusive artwork; the latter features all the 90s neon goodness of Generation 2 as the Combaticon members of Bruticus clash horribly but gloriously. #Botcon2016 Platinum Edition Armada of Cyclonus & Planet of Junk Sets

PostPosted: Fri Apr 08, 2016 5:39 pm

Behold! Cyclonus, the warrior... and his Armada.

The floor of BotCon 2016 has given us yet another look at the previously revealed, soon to be released The Transformers: The Movie 30th anniversary commemorative Platinum Edition box sets.

The Planet of Junk 3-pack includes Hot Rod, a redeco of Classics Hot Rod, and 2 Junkions: Wreck-Gar and Junkion Scrapheap, redecos of their respective Reveal the Shield and eHobby figures. This set brings us back to The Transformers: The Movie arrival of Hot Rod and Kup on the Planet of Junk, ahead of the final battle with Unicron: ba-weep-gra-na-weep-ninny-bong.

The Armada of Cyclonus 3-pack includes (you guessed it!) Cyclonus, a redeco of his Universe toy, Scourge, a redeco of the Generations figure, and a Sweep, which utilizes the Botcon 2014 Knight Devconhead. This set features clear and translucent bits, which nicely homage '86 Movie scene in which they are reformatted by Unicron.

Images of the figures contained in both sets are included below. You can check out Seibertron's extensive Platinum Edition galleries here, and our full BotCon 2016 galleries here. What do you think of these sets? Will you picking up that beardless Sweep?

After so many years of bad mock ups, poorly posed and mistranformed displays it's nice to see the people who set them up his year had fun doing it.

That does not look like Devcon's head. http://www.seibertron.com/transformers- ... 3366/1/45/ http://news.tfw2005.com/wp-content/uplo ... 0002-1.jpg (better shot of the head)

Devcon has odd, pouty lips, this toy has normal lips. The ends on Devcon's helmet curve inwards while this has the normal shape for Scourge. The lazer on Devcon's head is different than that of this toy (the Sweeep has a hole with light piping, Devcon does not). The Sweep has light piping, Devcon does not (I haven't taken it apart, but it looks like the eyes are sculpted on the face). From the side of the Devcon toy you can really see the difference.

I mean the head really looks like Devcon's. But if it is, they didn't derive it from the Botcon version.
