I went in on the set, but I renew in March so if the club charges me a full renewal rate instead of until December, I'm dropping the whole thing.

Besides, putting a samurai skull head on that body would look out of place, whereas the ROTF body is designed entirely around that motif. I look forward to standing the two Bludgeon's right next each other.
I'd just really rather have another, bigger version of Thunderwing rather than another, less exciting-looking Bludgeon of the same size as the previous, good-sized one.

A Thunderwing from the Cyclonus mold would both be a better size than the old small Deluxe one and would work for both is inner robot mode (Cyclonus) and his Pretender shell (Galvatronus).

I kind of like the way Bludgeon is. He can be my pre-Stormbringer Bludgeon, while ROTF/Headrobots Bludgeon can be post-Stormbringer.

Plus extending out the chest-plate in vehicle mode you can kinda simulate the "wings" he was flying with in Spotlight: Thundercracker too.

Apart from Spinister (have the Botcon one) I don't have any of the limb bots, so I'm pretty happy to pad out my 'Con army, and being a clmbiner to boot is pretty sweet as I don't have much space to display.

I think it'll fit in with the other torsos that have Optimus Prime, Galvatron, and Sky Lynx heads. :-D

I figured out why we're getting a Bludgeon instead of a Thunderwing: To avoid exclusive overlap. Since Sea Clamp is using the Scattershot mold, they can't use Silverbolt or any of his derivatives for the subscription service lest people complain about them using the mold for two different things. Thus they made Bludgeon out of Onslaught because they didn't want to use the same general mold for two different things, and Bludgeon is the only non-Thunderwing character who both palled around with the mayhems and is big enough to be the torso. Voila! Everything adds up!

Ok... So... TFSS 5.0.

We know it's not all CW molds this time.
We know it's the last time the club will use CW molds.

PLEASE make sure we get CW Quake and Crankcase. That's all I care about. I realize it's too late at this point to change anything, but those two need to be made so that the 4.0 set gets their trios complete.

In regards to G2 Starscream, can anyone weigh in on any loose parts on the figure? I came across 2 different sellers on-line and both are claiming this factor while considering how long ago the figure was released. Thanks all for your help! ;)^ :VEHI:

Fellow Seibertronians, exciting news has been brought to us courtesy of Survivefan23. John DeLuna has posted images to his twitter account of two of the new TFSS 5.0 figures: Double Pretender Optimus Prime with Hi-Q and Paradron Medic with Quickslinger. These have been mirrored below for your viewing pleasure. So what do you think of these figures? Are these enough to get you to sign up for the TFSS 5.0? Let us know in the comments below.

Optimus looks to be based on the Generation 2 Gobot mold with Armada Optimus's head. Not sure if the Pretender shell is supposed to homage anything in particular (though I'm getting Universe (2003) Optimus Primal/Robots in Disguise (2001) Optimus Prime vibes from him).

Wonder who Quickslinger is based on?

Looks promising so far. The Paradron Medic had to happen at some point. Just a few paint and plastic changes to Arcee is all it takes, no remolding.

I do wonder though......if this is TFSS 5.0...will the TFCC be releasing it? I thought their license wasn't going to be renewed, due to their announcement stating that all memberships would cease to be effective at the end of the year. Or did I read that wrong?

As far as we know, it was always due to continue through 5.0. As for botcon 2017... not sure about that

Well that's what I'm not sure about. TFSS 4.0 is coming out this year (likely after or around Botcon in 2 months), which means 5.0 is next year, 2017. So if they've lost the license, how is 5.0 going to happen? Or does this signal that they'll still be putting Botcon on and just requiring members to sign up every year?

I'm pretty sure it's just them changing up the membership registration dates, and they all now renew/expire at the end of the year.

I know there was a Facebook post from Pete waaaaay back when this was a big deal, and one of the comments was "Say it ain't so!". I think what's happebing is that Pete is stepping down and someone else is taking over FunPub.
