Question: I just looked at Nova Prime's design notes, would this be considered a small robot mode, without a trailer?

The head sculpt and deco looks good. I'm liking it, though of course it's a wee bit small... agreed. >:oP

And while there is less exciting putting out two similar figures at a time, I know it's smarter and cheaper to manufacture and ship them like this. (Much like the Battlecharger pair.) :-?

With the audience being different — beast fans and "G1" fans — I think it's okay to put them out around the same time. (Though I know there will be a bit of overlap with fans like myself.) Just set them at opposite ends of the shelf. Heh.

On a similar note — I'm always fine when they release pairs like Hoist/Trailbreaker, Cliff/Bee at the same time. I'd rather be ensured that we GET those characters, than take a risk waiting around and having the line cut short... which seems to happen more times than not.

Yeah, so I like, totally mentioned this in the Lio Conoy reveal thread...

Does that make Unicron the Godkiller that went after the Celestials?

You keep using that word, and I don't think it means what you think it means...

FunPub giving us a real offical Nova Prime, Hasbro-blessed and everyhing. That's almost as cool as the fact that FUNPUB IS OFFICALLY RELEASING AN IDFRIKKIN'W character.

Size concern aside, does anyone feel like two white versions of the Orion Pax mold with the same new headsculpt at once is maybe not the best they could have done?

That's the clever bit: the white is offset by a different prevalent color on each figure: red for Lio Convoy, and black for Nova Prime. So they both look distinct.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. If they're doing repaints, please do Tapout and Glyph out of the old Classics Bumblebee mold.

I don't know who Nova Prime is and I'm not really interested in what looks like another Ultra Magnus inner robot repaint of an Optimus Prime (or in this case, Orion Pax) mold.

Nova prime, excellent figure artwork, poopy execution on the scale. :BANG_HEAD:

So, according to the club the second figure will not be for the average *Joe* and "it will reach fans from more than one franchise". Subtle much?

Agreed about Glyph and Tap Out. Would LOVE those two. If so, they should give a proper Cliff head sculpt for that one. Please take note of this. Excellent idea, Pete! ;-)

On the note of the *Joe* hint.... any vehicle and figure that would be a good match for Serpent-OR? Guesses anyone?

Right. I'm saying ... is there a good character that would display well... and be a good match against Serpentor. (Like, a good guy.)

A companion piece if you will, Runamuck to his runabout. Also no, I don't think the club will do a companion piece >:oP

Powerglide in blue would be terribly out of scale, but kinda awesome. Besides that, trying to imagine what stuff we could see painted in a drab green.

There is a Joe VTOL. I think ANYTHING out of that Sandstorm mold would be a win. Same for Whirl, come to think of it. Either of those in green or dark gray would be sweet. Hmmmm.

Other guess, maybe that inverted wing jet the Conquest X-30 in gray from the (perhaps overused) Terradive.

(not to mention a green tank version of Warpath as either Gutcruncher or Hardhead)

Four ideas, right there. BAM.

Anybody else?

...and I am completely sold on him. IMO, the size doesn't bother me, since I'm either a) going to display him with the Generations Legends dudes to help with the scale issue, or b) wait for a third-party upgrade kit to boost him up some. I don't quite know how I'd display him just yet, but what I do know is that I really, really, really need that Nova Prime. =P~ =P~ =P~

The official Transformers Collectors' Club has posted mock-ups of their recently revealed 2015 exclusive, Nova Prime. The figure is repaint of the Generations Deluxe Orion Pax mold with a newly sculpted head. Check out the mock-ups mirrored below:

Must say, he doesn't look bad. However, if I do get a subscription to the collectors club, I probably won't buy him because he's the exact same mold as lio convoy.

He's really not that different than Lio in colors... sure, the fin are gold vs. black, the different windshield, but they are both a lot of white... but this guy might look pretty good next to Generations Galvatron, Universe Cyclonus, Scourge, and if you stretch it, the upcoming Jhaxius...

Don't forget Straxus. He was also part of the Ark-1 crew, all of whom seem to have been given Deluxe toys. ;)

Though they share a common mold and the color white as a base, the deco differences seem fair enough:

I'm still wondering how lio will scale with the legends commander/robot masters figure

Any chance you can do this again with the vehicle modes? :D
