That's just a second Scorponok in beast mode. That light in the hotel room there is yellow tinted so it changes the way the colors of the plastics photograph.

As truly awesome as that looks. I can't help but look at a much different "Transformer" and see Depthcharge.

While it's not the better figure, the alt mode does capture the look and feel of a manta ray space ship. Also the wing placement in bot mode is reminiscent of the wing placement on BW Depthcharge. You can even have a little protoform Depthcharge pilot himself lol.

Nice repaint. 8) I wonder how many more toys will be repainted with the Terradive mold. :-?

That Takara Terradive has so much win... I wish I could find one for less than $100.

Why is Thrustinator's wasp eye yellow when it was supposed to be changed to blue?

Because it's homage to the yellowish orange eyes of the motorcycle drone toy from 2001,

No it is not. We were told the Club would be correcting it to blue. His robot mode Waspy eye is blue, it only makes sense for his wasp mode eye to be blue too.

And Thrust had a red visor in the cartoon, just like his robot mode Thrust eye is.

It's possible it's a production error, But it makes more since for the club to give wink the toy the CG model was based on ;) .

More like vice-versa. The Motorcycle Drone was based off the CGI model from the previous year. Beast Machines's second year had toys based off the show models since its first year toys barely resembled them due to the show and toys not being on the same page for that first year.

Actually The thrust figure proper came out in 2000, with the toyline starting in 1999. The motorcycle drone would've been from beast machines third year ;) I always heard the rumor that mainframe used hasbro's in production concepts of the drones for both the drones and generals due to budget constraints.

No matter the Details, I like the Yellow Eyed version better, it's reminiscent of the motorcycle drone figure, which was the most accurate interpretation of thrust at the time, and to an extent still is. plus that would be three/four homages in this toy, and the more there are, the better the toy is (that part was snark).

Thrustinator's yellow eye is a production error. Pete's response was to find a customizer if you want it blue. I can't make that up.

I may be thinking to hard about this, but does that mean they're made of something soft, or they have jointage/springs that allow them to bounce/ articulate. Do transformer women where Brassieres? Does that mean there's a transformers clothes/fashion industry, if that's the case do transformers as a race wear clothes, are clothes vehicle kibble? How do we know when they're wearing clothes, does that mean there are cybertonain decency laws? If that's all entirely false does this imply transformers are constantly nude all the time? Why's the prospect of transformers with jiggle physics open this many question :BOOM: :BOOM:

For whatever reason, the small head doesn't look as bad on Hunter/Shockawhatever

Brimstone seems to lose a bit of his visual appeal with the lack of asymmetrical legs, but I'd totally have gotten him if he was a mass-release figure. And fan-moded a pterodactyl mode.
