Here are a couple of screenshots of what the NEW rebranded News section will look like. We've got lightbox gallery functionality for the images in "news" articles now.

My wish, hmm...

I prefer to view a news post in the source thread over the news page since the latter doesn't display comments. However, "View Discussion" will typically take me to the first reply post if it links to a pre-existing thread, which leaves me needing to scroll back up to the news itself.

Is this changed in the site update?

This format is superior. It's gonna require a comprehensive title for the members to know what the stories are but that hasn't been an issue.
