Since when is the Sentinel Prime to be featured in this considered a "fan-favorite"?

I think they meant movie sentinel prime. Dont think he's a favourite either but he was voiced by the late great Nimoy!

Also, I think Hasbro told this article what to say, I highly doubt the writer is a big TF fan who knows his stuff.
doubt Hasbro knows either. :P

I'd put Nova Prime, Leige Maximo, and Straxus ahead of Sentinel in terms of Obscure badguy/ or general ****heads favourites.

Heck the only reason I'd even think of him was if someone mentioned Movie Ironhide in a past tense. He does cross my mind a little because of the Leonard Nimoy thing - but not with any love more melancholy really... As it does remind you that Sentinel got his part and powers bumped up at the expense of Megatron being taken seriously as a threat... that is a pretty major downside.

It is my understanding that Hasbro seems to be of the opinion that Nexus Prime is actually Sentinel Prime by another names - which is sort of odd as all it really does is confirm him as being dead in the aligned continuity family.

I'm more intrigued by Alpha Trion potentially getting a Triplechanger mould - though even a straight beast mode Deluxe wouldn't be to bad.

Which reminds me I must find some red material for a cape if he lacks one.

I suppose, to be fair, IDW has established that the Cybertronian population is large enough to reuse names - Prowl/Prowl and Blitzwing/Blitzving. And of course, Hasbro's really pumped the idea that Megatron is named after Megatronus, so it would make since if the Poser Prime he killed was named after someone older - a previous Prime or a nickname associated with that Prime.

Or perhaps some new guy will come along and have declared himself the successor or reincarnation of Sentinel Prime. Though that would be pretty weak - like, you know, having a bad guy be a reincarnation of Hitler has some ooh-scary value, but having a bad guy be a reincarnation of Bismark is more... huh? Zeta Prime was a violent psychopath, Nova Prime was a megalomaniac, but Sentinel Prime was just kind of... a guy... who had a job... wasn't great at it... got killed... Actually, the Cybertronian reincarnation of Bismark would be a bigger threat than Sentinel Prime (especially if he turned into a battleship).

I spy footage from the Prime cartoon, the Devastation video game, the Combiner Wars IDW comics, and the Art of Fall of Cybertron artbook.

They'll align this continuity scramble city style, by golly! Combine to form the ultimate gestalt: Autopredimalcon Plot Hole

Actually, now I kind of want a Nexus Prime whose components each come from a different one of the major continuity families. They can even just use the Transtech designations (e.g., Primax) for the component names.

Isn't that kinda what was already done for the original TCC Nexus Prime?

I mean, Skyfall and Landquake were both on the TF: Cybertron cartoon Cybertron, Breakaway was in the Classicsverse, Topspin was originally in a G2 universe but then wound up in Axiom Nexus, and Heatwave was in the Shattered Glass universe.

I do want a Nexus Prime. Like, now. WE have combiners and all kinds of options, now give us a Nexus!!

Crazy idea: If it is Prime Wars, does that mean that the combiner molds can be reused later to make a Nexus Prime??? :BOT:

Yep, but he doesn't really *look* like five guys who've been living in different universes. I mean, he's even one of the few combiners with a coherent paint-job. I want something more... well, I guess, mismatched.

Victorion's sword is reeeeeally similar to Nexus Prime's weapon.

Just saying...

So... something more "normal" (for a combiner) instead of "special".

The way I understood it, part 1 is Combiner Wars, part 2 is Titans Return, part 3 is Titan Wars, and the 3 together make Prime Wars Trilogy.

And yes, PLEASE leave MTMTE alone. Unless they plan on having Optimus and Sentinel die, and Rodimus winning Prime Wars by default.

"Titan Wars" was apparently an early name for Part 2, with "Titans Return" being the final name.

Here's a look at the unfinished trilogy from the NYCC Generations Panel:
