An MP Alpha Bravo would be a thing of glory, if only so we could own a representation of our lord and saviour that isn't made of brittle CW plastic.

Though I'll take an MP Protectobot "Cook the Crook" Rook first.

Alpha Bravo doesn't need a Masterpiece figure. He already is one.

Brothers and Sisters, welcome.

Let all lower our heads and give praise to the great Alpha Bravo, in all his glory. For he brings upon us the good and glory of the sky and the great star above.

And let us give sweet love to brother Rook. For he who rolls in power and joy.

Lords praise the Alpha, and the Bravo, and let us give unto him our hearts, as we rise up upon the propellers of his wisdom and light!

Ahhhhh-men
Ahhhh-bot

Takara hates IDW so much they didn't even bother doing a Skids for fans.

Reading this thread with hindsight is glorious.

Also Alpha Bravo's the best Aerialbot

Alpha Bravo fans are the modern day equivalent of Starscream Fangirls. Best to just ignore them.

Come to think of it I had a female friend in high school that sounded overly exited talking about Starscream. I guess if girls like Loki (The Avengers) they might like SS for similar reasons.

I really liked Slingshot in the G1 cartoon. So to my dismay, they made a Helicopter replacement. It never sat well with me. Even as a reserve it doesn't work because jets fly faster than helicopters. I don't mind them renaming Slingshot due to loss of the trademark, but flat out replacement with a non jet is meh. To the folks that like him, that's their cup of tea, not mine.

Why does everybody get hung up on the real life limitations of helicopters as applied to fictional robots that can go whatever speed the plot demands? Of all the reasons to dislike AB, "he couldn't go as fast as the jets if he were real but he is often shown going the same speed as them because he is a fictional alien robot that does not have to conform to reality" is an incredibly weak one.

So applying real world physics as a reason to dislike the inclusion of Alpha Bravo into an all jets team is "incredibly weak", but believing that "they all go the same speed because it's fictional" isn't?

Why not just say it's magic as well?

Accepting that they are alien robots and not actual vehicles subject to the real world limits of said vehicles is kind of the norm with this franchise I think. Plus we've seen helicopter TFs keeping up with jets in several TF fictions, including the IDW comics with Alpha Bravo himself. If you dislike the guy I get it, but if your only reasoning is that he's hypothetically (but not demonstrably) slower than the others, that seems to me to be not much to go on.
