Yes, and that concept is **** horrible. How can yo have Transformers without Starscream and Megatron. So now they're turning Transformers into the Teen titans. I pray to GOD this **** bombs. So we can get a real **** series. Hasbro, please hire one of those sick ass Macross Art houses. Have them do the animation. Have an American company produce it based on the original characters.
Do that you'll have a friggin gold mine of a series.

This series is going to blow
Why not just create a ultimate G1 revamp? A updated G1 setting would draw both old and new viewers, it would also get more support from "G1 Parents" since they are already familiar with it.

I like the G1 revamp idea. Maybe if we make loud enough noise... Hasbro may take notice.

Disgruntling. To say the least.

DAMM I warned people from the beginning about a Cartoonnetwork Transformers series. LOOK WHAT THEY DID TO FF !Well its too early to disown the series all together.

Unfortunatley Hasbro is really good at not listening to anyone about any of their toylines...that being said this article raises a lot of questions. Is this series going to be completely without decepticons? If it is then how will they fill twenty minutes without making the autobots look really lame, because most things humans devise in the transformers relm are stupid easily thwarted plans. And more importantly why does Optimus have such a tiny tiny waist??? It disturbs me!

aww man...i was looking forward to this as well. Freaking superheroes? Gimmie a break! Be more human so the kids can identify with them better? We never had trouble identifying with the original bots so why change them to be mroe human=lame?

More importantly, how will they sell Decepticon toys of this new series?

Haven't checked the link, but I know for a fact that Starscream and Megatron are in it. They just won't appear every episode. Give it a chance.
And it's not likely to change soon since they practically have 29 episodes wrapped up...waiting to be aired in '08.

As I said before, there are decepticons, you may want to jump over to the cartoon and comics forum to check it out, and for the latest news on the cartoon look here...
http://www.seibertron.com/news/index.php?f_cat=2And about the toys... in stores, where else would they sell them?

My theory of where the autobots will go to hang out and fight evil....

1-2-3-4 when there's trouble you know who to call...
TRANSFORMERS!
Yea this series is going to be sooo cool...

Blimey, have you lot not been reading this stuff? There's been a lot more info released since, it looks like it's getting better and better.
Megatron and Starscream (along with Blackarachnia, Blitzwing and others) will be in the series, but they'll be shown more rarely, and when they do turn up, they'll be a much more credible threat. It's so they haven't got the big bad get his butt kicked every week. Meantime, the Autobots will be interacting with humans and dealing with human villains as well.
The superheroes stuff is a reference to the team dynamic... the small core of heroes. And there will be other Autobots turning up for short appearances. And the 'powers' that the Autobots have are 'realistic', mechanically-based ones (like Mirage's invisibility or Skywarp's teleportation).
And when they talk about "more human", I believe they're referring to the personalities, making them more characterful as opposed to the generally dull stuff from the Unicron Trilogy series. You know, sort of like the guys we loved from G1?
Geez...
I shouldn't be this wound up for my 1000th post, but all that negativity really gets on my wick...

Yeah, I figured that it's all the new people that's just missing these reports from botcon. It does get to ya, but what can you do when people just don't do the research.
I say let them bitch while most of us that DO pay attention to what's going on enjoy ourselves. Me? I can't wait for the new toys. They look absolutely sick!! Were you at Botcon Ramider? Did you watch the animated sizzle?

Are all of you so afraid of change? If you were at the Hasbro future products panel at BotCon you got to see a preview of the cartoon. I have to say it didn't look horrible, but for god's sake lets stop being so narrow minded.

It can't be that bad guys... its a TF cartoon! Even if you hate it now, we all know that we'll be talking about, buying the strange pointy little toys it and quoting it in a year. Just be glad its TRANSFORMERS characters and not Bay-formers.

ooh, ooh! Pick me!! ::Raises hand:: Pick me! I saw it! I went!
It was
good.
So many people are going to be eating **** over all this jumping the gun negativity. (Though it's not entirely their fault. Stupid reports from places like IGN aren't giving accurate descriptions.)
