Stay tuned for more to come. Pete said that they'd be posting even more unused concepts like this in the next few days, after the con.

I'd kill for the override figure.

I'm mesmerized by this stuff...
I'd never buy most of them, but I really like the creativity that goes into each design.

I wouldn't say so @ Flywheels. After all, we got Megalligator -- and we know TFCC previously cancelled CW Nemesis Prime when it turned out Takara done something very similar. That tells me these proposed ideas were very early; early enough for the E-Hobby stuff to not immediately shoot down Megalligator and possibly even early enough for Hasbro to pinch the Flywheels idea. Anything's possible, if unlikely.

God I would have loved Override.

Some of those did get produced, some after a few changes like Breakdown and Wildrider switching molds. The point is to get a glimpse of the brainstorming process for those figures produced or not, which is always interesting to see... not to mention how FunPub and eHobby seem to think alike

So many great ideas, gone to waste.

Also shown off at Pete's Robot Convention was Energon Megatron from Titans Return Black Shadow, which upon viewing a part of me died. The knowledge that it would never be made depressed me. :-(

I would have loved the Beast Machines stuff and most of TFSS 6.0.(all but SG Rodimus) I am glad we got the animated Stunticons set as that's my favorite box set.

Who thought of the different transformation on Thrust? Find them and give them some sort of meaningless title that shows off how brilliant they are.

Saw some interesting concepts posted from the show like doubledealer from hardhead... they look quite good and interesting. In a way it's a pity but then again it leaves more of a door open for hasbro to tackle some characters themselves

I totally would have bought that Override. Why they didn't do her instead of Nautica for the Velocitron set I'm not sure, it would have made much more sense for the theme and it would have worked better too (plus it would have required less retooling).

And SG Rodimus was the thing I loved most from that set. I needed him.

Wanna do a split purchase?!

That Alligator/Crocodile Prime was actually something I planned on making for a stop motion where he lost his truck parts and "de-evolved" into having a beast mode. Kind of like when Wolverine had his adamantium removed and got more feral (I have crazy ideas  )

Anyone have any idea what they made the "rcordicon" Ratbat from?

G1 doubledealer's deception powermaster.

It actually looks like a whole new tooling. Wouldn't surprise me; since BotCon 2014 Scorponok, the Club stepped their game up.

What Ratbat? You aren't confusing him with Skar, are you?

That's where you're... well, wrong. These ideas are not exactly wasted, in fact, I would say more of the opposite: Hasbro will most likely see these in some way (along with reactions), and put them on some list of ideas for the (far) future. If so, these figures, if released, will be much cheaper. Hopefully that puts a more positive spin on these wonderful ideas.

Also, y'know, customizers ;)

P.S. This is not an attack, personal or otherwise.

[EDIT]: Oh, yeah, almost forgot: those box sets full of miscellaneous retools/redecos.

I'll take a big wager and say the head is totally made from scratch, possibly aside from the wings that are designed after Skar:

Transformers G1 1988 Skar (Doubleclouder) Gallery

It could even be the pretool head design for the Mindwipe mold, who knows? The design being a render leads me to think that.

It might be years from now, but I'll be genuinely surprised if an Energon Megatron or Galvatron never happens from the Black Shadow mold. It practically looks intended for it!

It's not a render, it's just a surprisingly well done Photoshop. The wings and legs *are* Skar's. Pretty certain the head too.

Couple of tells: the legs don't match up against the body on either side, and the wings still have faint mold flash circles.
