Who here has been very lucky to meet Frank Welker yet?

Just wondering what he is like, what was it like meeting him in person, I still haven't met him yet sadly, i'm really hardcore jealous of those who have been lucky to meet him, well I can understand that not many fans have had the opportunity to meet him yet because he is still very new to attending Conventions, he barely started attending Conventions in 2015, BotCon 2015 in Chicago at the time was his first ever convention appearance I believe.

Another thing, I've been keeping track of the convention appearences he has made so far and it still disappoints me that he still hasn't done a Convention appearance in California or the West Coast yet. Also, 2015, which was the year he made his first Con appearance, is the year he has done most Con appearences in a year, 3 Con appearences that year, since then, it has only been 1 Con a year.

Is it true that he is kinda shy, known to be very private, a very private person, as to why he avoided Conventions for many years? and that Peter Cullen was the one who strongly talked him into finally attending Conventions?

anyway, since he is doing Cons now, the next Holy Grail for attending Cons would be Corey Burton, because I hear he refuses to do shows, Cons, also very private, but if Frank Welker can finally start attending them, hopefully Corey Burton can change his mind someday as well.

another thing, when Frank Welker attends conventions, the ones he has attended so far, i'm guessing he has attended them reluctantly

sadly can't change the past but it really makes me kick myself for not traveling or commuting long distance to Cons earlier, going to out of state conventions earlier. I really hope Frank Welker makes another Con appearance for 2018.

He and Peter Cullen stood right in front of me as they walked down the red carpet, shook hands with fans, and responded to quick pictures/videos/interviews/etc. at the 2013 grand opening event of Transformers: The Ride – 3D at Universal Studios Orlando.

I didn't get to say or do anything to them due to the person right next to me taking up their attention for the brief moment that they were in front of me, and the woman who was escorting them down the carpet was trying to get the two of them down the carpeted walkway as quickly as she could.

But, I do remember the question that they were asked by the person next to me who was talking to them. The question was if Peter and Frank are good friends in real life despite playing mortal enemies on Transformers. They jokingly answered that they don't get along at all and can't stand each other, with one constantly parking in the other's parking space. They were being silly, of course, using voices and tones that conveyed a playful sense of false grumpiness and faux irateness. They're good pals in real life.

Back then I wanted to go in order to see Frank W. however I didn't think id have the money. after telling my wife the month before she told me if I told her a few moths early we saved to go since my mom at the time was only like a 20 min drive away. :BANG_HEAD: I wish I could go back and save the money. I also live in St Cats, ON so tfcon also isn't that far away. one of my biggest regrets in life is not telling my wife in in advance, now I know.

I've been able to meet him twice at two separate press events related to the Transformers brand: first time was at the red carpet event for the grand opening of the Transformers The Ride 3D at Universal Orlando and the second time was last year at the red carpet press event for Transformers The last Knight here in Chicago. I didn't have a chance to talk to him personally at BotCon 2015 in St Charles though but did sit in on his panel and record part of it for Seibertron.com's YouTube channel.

I did read that he struggles with certain voices now, I imagine Dr. Claw or Emperor Krulos would really strain your voice after so many years. I wonder if he can still do Mad Galvatron? I'd love to hear that in real life.
I'd probably ask Cullen for some Venger too, my personal favourite role of his.

I don't blame him, a lot of wear and tear on his throat, so far, no convention announcement for him for 2018 yet.
