Annoys me. I mean, I don't mind female Transformers FANS, it's kina cool to know they're out there, but It annoys me to hear about how "Hot" or how "Sexy" Starscream is. I mean, for crying out loud, it's a cartoon about giant transforming robots who are millions of years old. Aimed at males. Same with males who think Arcee's hot. Again, it's a drawing. Voiced by a woman who is in her 50s.
And then there's the ones who talk about Romance, etc, who annoy me too. I know people are entitled to their opinion, but Transformers shouldnt' be the place to look for 'girlie' things such as romance, and crap like that. I guess it's kinda "Cute" but in a lot of instances, it's creepy, such as sex fics. Those mofos need help. I like Transformers, because it's something that's aimed with us guys in mind, with action, awesome robots, and cool toys. As I said, it bothers me when peopel fawn over characters in a kids franchise. It's like people thinking those stupid Bratz dolls are hot. I just don't get it.

Because they can what? It's sad to see people claming things such as "Oh, Starscream's my dream man!" when you consider that he's a character in a cartoon aimed at kids. What next, people falling in love with the Teletubbies?

I tend to agree that it's a bit repulsive, but there's not much any of us can do about it.

What about all the threads dedicated to Starscream? Some of them were a little over the top, with all these deep and meaningful things they had to say about him. Now don't get me wrong, I like Screamer, but really, exactly how much detail can you go into about a robot's personality?

Don't worry. The fangirls will eventually get over the egotistic bad-boy crush and settle down with an honest, hardworking bot to raise a family with. Trailbreaker, Huffer, Windcharger - bots who bring home the robo-bacon and have some stability.

Yeah... I have to admit. Starscream was my favorite when I was little. He was one of my first favorite villians, which I can't explain because there's nothing really redeemable about him. However.. I wasn't prepared for that level of fangirling when I just came to these boards.
I mean... my fangirling was 'He's a JET! YES, A JET! And a WHINING JET!' I wasn't really expecting anyone to say that he was a SEXY bot.... It's funny, but it sort of gives me the shivers. Since... well... ROBOT!
Still, you can't stop fandom. If it exists, there's porn of it. So the best thing to do is be amused and deal.

I don't think all Starscream fangirls should be lumped into one big psycotic "omfg I wanna have sex wit screamer" group. I think there are those who have those opinions and those who just like the character or think he's more aestheticly pleasing then say Powerglide.
I also think that female fans take more **** for having crushes on animated characters than males. But to be fair fangirls can be more open and abraisive with their fandom...
And really how different is it if someone had a crush on a non animated character on a TV show or movie? Chances are the individual has a crush on the character and their traits. Chances are they have no idea if the actual actor shares those same traits so they project the character's traits onto the actor...

Well, I'm a female fan and there is definitely no romantic love for Starscream from me. Yeah, he is definitely my favorite Decepticon, but probably for the same reasons most men would quote. I think he has a lot of personality and is often pretty funny. His banter with Megatron is what made the cartoon (and the comics) great. I don't think he's "sexy" (????), I just like his design because it's cool. And believe me, I'm not hankering for any romantic stories between the robots. Go watch a romance movie if you need that stuff! It doesn't belong in Transformers.

Oh, and I never saidthat there were people who like Bratz, I said that claiming a character like Starscream is hot is LIKE that. As I said with the other things. There are no porn sites for Teletubbies or Bratz. I am using those as examples of what crushes on Transformers are like.

I am the only female I know that HATES romance. Finding robots sexy? I constantly read this in forums (not only TF but a lot of anime characters) and it's the dumbest **** EVER.
In the case of TF, how the hell can a robot be SEXY? That's just stupid. I can understand a voice sounding sexy but a cartoon character itself? It's a **** piece of paper!
Second, romance is lame. Especially in something like Transformers. There's a war going on, I'm sure they are pretty occupied fighting to save the world, let alone the fact that they don't have genitals so a relationship would be useless....but that's getting technical.
I want to see things die, not kiss and other **** like that.
