TFcon USA has given us a Press Release announcing that TFcon USA is going to be much earlier next year, taking place in March of 2019, and will be the special home of a Generation 1 reunion!

This exciting bit of news comes to us as TFcon USA ends for the 2018 year. The convention next year will be featuring numerous yet to be announced voice actors, artists, writers, and even toy designers that all contributed to getting the brand started in 1984.

Check out the release below, and let us know what you think of this exciting reunion news!

BURBANK, CA. Thousands of fans from around the world will converge on the Los Angeles Marriott Burbank Airport Hotel & Convention Center (2500 N Hollywood Way, Burbank, CA 91505, USA) to participate in TFcon USA 2019; a 3-day colossal Transformers event to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the Transformers franchise (March 15-17, 2019).

The show will feature a myriad of guests, voice actors, artists, writers and toy designers that contributed to the Transformers universe since 1984. There will also be a variety of Q&A panels, autograph sessions, workshops and costume contests all weekend long.

“We were absolutely thrilled to bring this show to Los Angeles County,” says TFcon Founder Colin Douglas. “There are a huge number of fans on the West Coast and we are very excited to provide a memorable experience catered to long-time fans, collectors and first-time attendees.”

Burbank will provide an ideal location; accessibility to transportation and an abundance of leisure and tourism opportunities nearby for fans to enjoy.

Reading this made me happier than I've felt in a long time. I moved to San Diego, and it was the best decision ever to be near all the cool s**t in SoCal. I'm going all out for this event. Maybe I can get my Megatron poster signed by Frank Welker to match my Optimus Prime with Peter Cullen. :x :x :x    :michaelbay: :michaelbay:

I think tickets are normally between $15 and $60 depending on the day, number of days, and package. It's not overly expensive as far as I've heard.... until you get to the dealer room

I can't help but wish it wasn't happening so soon after this last one. I've gotten used to having a year to save up between shows-- and those are the ones that are only a night's drive away from me. I'd love to make the trip out to this one but I doubt I'll be in the right place financially in time. Also figures that they decided to hit a way different locale just when I thought I'd take my nephew to the next one if it stayed close by, haha.

All that said, this date and place will probably be ideal for a lot of people who haven't been able to make it to previous shows, so I can't be mad.

I meant to comment on this when it was first announced, but got lost in the shuffle. I'm totally amazed, and thankful. I thought there'd never be a TF convention again in CA. This is perfect timing also. Right during tax season, hopefully a little extra funds to spare.

Back in 2011, my son and I got a commuter flight down to Pasadena for Botcon just for the day, and flew home the same day. In 2013, my whole family went down to San Diego for Botcon, and stayed with friends.

-I may do the same in this situation, depending if my wife and daughter want to come along as well, and maybe take in some of the other attractions in SoCal. In 2011 there was no Uber/Lyft, so getting rides to/from the convention side via Taxi or Blue Van was a little more complicated. Now, especially with the hotel right near the Burbank Airport, it should be much easier. I'm definitely going to try to make plans to attend.

I completely understand. Many fans cannot afford to travel far, including myself. I haven't been to any show since Botcon in 2013, and honestly, I thought since Hasbro ended Botcon, I never would get the opportunity again, since most fan organized conventions weren't within a reasonable distance for me.

Also I figure this will be the last time I'll really get to enjoy an experience like this with my son, he'll be just short of 13. He still has interest in Transformers, but his interests are growing and expanding, which I expected, and that is fine.

It is but what can you do? Its nice that you can do a father son activity like this :) You'll always have the memories, even if your tastes diverge. I hope I can do something similar when my children are older.
