Maccadam's appearance?
Posted: Sat Aug 10, 2019 8:11 pmIs the mustachioed blue-green bartender often depicted in artwork involving Maccadam's Old Oil House, the actual, canonical Maccadam?
Google and TFwiki have been giving me vague and/or contradictory info.
From what I can gather, in the beginning, Maccadam was never actually visually depicted, and "mustache Kup guy" was just a recurring background extra. Then, at some point, the artists decided to retroactively name that guy Maccadam.
Then Cyberverse comes along and gives us "stocky Rhinox Bulkhead guy" Maccadam.
I would just say "these are just two different versions of the character in two different universes", much like bucket-head silver gun Megatron from G1, and claw-head green tank Megatron from Armada are both still Megatron, but Cyberverse uses the Evergreen character designs, which are heavily G1 inspired.
So have they retconned mustache-Kup back into a generic bartender? Or is he still Maccadam outside of the Cyberverse setting?
