Greetings Seibertronians! Fellow Seibertron user, Megatronus dropped a line to let us know about an event he heard the store Gamestop were running this Friday August 7th! The event? Megatron Day. As you can see from the ad below, while no details are given, we see an order for Decepticons to combine and rise up, and a slogan saying "Deals that Optimus Prime would be jealous of".

The image used is of Megatron from the Siege line, making it seem that this could be trying to tie in to the recently launched Netflix Siege cartoon.

The last time I saw a Transformer at Gamestop was the Alpha Trion Prime Master.

So this seems... Odd... To say the least.

I couldn't find any mention of this anywhere on Gamestop.com. The Friday deals just went live and there's nothing Transformers related. What is this supposed to be? Is this an in-store only event?

Same, I'm refreshing the page but I'm not seeing anything. Does anyone who received the email know what time the live countdown is counting down to?

Just got a Megatron Day email from Gamestop Power-Up Rewards about a half-hour ago that included some actual details, and following a link in that led to more details that weren't included in the email, so so far I've seen:

- No time period specified: 10% off select TF Furai Model kits
- No time period specified: 2 for $.99 Siege TCG boosters
- From 10AM-12PM only: Buy 1 get 1 50% off on select Studio Series figures
- From 3-4PM only: Buy 1 get 1 50% off select WFC figures
- From 4-5PM only: Buy 1 get 1 50% off...it says select Studio Series again, but it shows pics of Cyberverse figures, so I'm guessing it means Cyberverse figures

The Furai and TCG sales were the ones not in the email, and currently on their website those sales say find a store on their advertisements rather than any sort of link to product listings, so this may only be in-store? Either way, this is...odd, as Finishline already so eloquently put it.

Yes this is very odd if it is in-store only. I worked management at a Gamestop up until the end of January and besides Transformers games, the only product we had were the cards. Booster packs to be precise.

Just used the BOGO 50% off on Studio Series to get Scavenger (priced at $43) and ROTF Megatron.

This needs to become Hasbro's official response to Amazon's Prime Day. Full stop.

This whole thing seemed... peculiar, because I've NEVER actually seen Transformers sold in ANY Gamestop except for video games, and I've searched.
