Transformers Aesthetics

Hey gang!

I've been writing a series of articles/essays about the history of the Transformers brand. I've been going line by line, starting with Beast Wars and working my way up, constructing a unified historical narrative. I though I'd share them here, since people seem to like Transformers here, can't imagine why. I'm shooting to have a new one out every two weeks, but since I've already been doing it for a while, I'll update this thread once a week with a new essay until we're caught up. If you want to skip ahead, they're all available on my website, which I'll link to here. I'd really love to hear what you guys think about them, or just discussions of the lines in general!

This first one here is my historiography essay; it describes some of the decisions I've made in writing these, why I chose to write them, and what I'm hoping to demonstrate.

I hope you enjoy it!

Hello Seibertron! I'm back, I was merely... out of town. One might say... On a road trip.

Anyways, here's essay number two chronologically. It's talking about.... BEAST WARS (Just in time for those sick nasty Kingdom leaks no less.)

Let me know what you think, or how Beast wars impacted your collection!

(Also, Wonko, thank you for taking the time to read my blathering. I can barely do that. :P)

No problem! I liked the newest one as well. Also, I love the term "Screamingly Inaccurate" and have adopted it to use in the future.

Hello everyone! That time of Sunday again. Just in time for more of those dank Kingdom leaks, its Beast Wars 1997! This year featured... Well a lot of bugs. 9 different bug transformers actually, depending on how you count rolly pollys.

Haha thanks. I find it a very useful turn of phrase. Screamingly is an underused adjective IMO.

Hey gang! Today we finally wrap up our journey through Beast Wars. (Me personally, I’m excited to move onto something else.) However, Beast Wars is an incredible line, and I’m also really happy we’ve gotten take a look at it in as much depth as we have. Hope you enjoy!

Hey gang! Got another one for you today. We'll be talking about Beast Machines. I think the line has a ton of really interesting design choices, and I hope you enjoy the essay!
