Hasbro has given a press release stating that they have come to an agreement with national retailer Steve & Barry's to launch an extensive apparel collection to feature 12 well-known Hasbro brands, including Transformers. This will include T-shirts, hoodies, casual bottoms, sports hats and outerwear.

"We're delighted to be working with Steve & Barry's to extend Hasbro brands in cool and trend-right ways within the ever changing apparel category," said Jane Ritson-Parsons, president of HPG. "They are revolutionizing the way people shop for clothing and we wanted Hasbro brands to be a part of that phenomenon. Steve & Barry's current and growing retail presence combined with their original in-store merchandising and cross-promotional strategies will put our properties front-and-center among consumers of all ages in a hip and stylish manner and that's a big win for everyone."

Sweet! S&B has super cheap clothes, so we can get TF clothes that are not the $25 shirts from Hot Topic. Woo Hoo!! Of course, that means so will everyone else, but I'm willing to take that risk.

So basically, these'll never hit Canada, or more specifically Quebec. Well that's just prime.

The Steve and Berry's here advertises everything under $7.95. At least they used to. I guess it's been a while since I've been there. Last time I went I spent about $60 and walked away with some very nice college t-shirts, a faux leather jacket and a nice cotton p-coat. The kakis didn't last a year, but at eight bucks, I'll take them for as long as they did. Still lasted almost as long as my $35 name brand.

If I can get some decent looking TF's wear for less than eight bucks a pop, great.

Still, I kinda wonder about those kids in Honduras. I know the money's better than what they're used to, but I still feel a little guilty...

(I have no idea how S&B are able to sell for so cheap)

What the hell? S and B doesn't sell anything but sport team apparel. At least around here.

Not to mention that if they do sell Transformers stuff I doubt I'll see it in 2x since most stores seem to think people are no bigger than a large.

I thought so too. Nothing says cool like having Starscream on your butt! Better yet, telling everyone you have Sideswipe and Skids all over your briefs.

I've seen Marvel character items in the store before. And there is plenty of other stuff that isn't sports-related (i.e. Chrysler, General Motors, etc.).

Wow, this is awesome news...for those who actually have a S&B in their area. GREAT prices on all of their merchandise. Now I might actually have a shot at getting an Autobot or Decepticon emblem hoodie and not be screwed out of $40-60. The added bonus of not having to go into another Hot Topic for TF gear makes this a sweet deal!

The one near me must be in the minority. It's been here for about a year and seriously has nothing but college and pro sports stuff in it. And only football and baseball at that.

This is fantastic! I know their clothes will be cheaper than Hot Topic. Now we'll be able to get like 3 shirts for what you pay for one at HT.

Well, the prices are cheap, but you get what you pay for. The quality isn't terribly good. But for the prices that they'll be selling this stuff at, it'll be great to get a few G.I. Joe and Transformers t-shirts or hoodies to wear around the house.
