female decepticons

There is really no use for them except for reproduction and pleasure. Decepticons are warriors and warriors are usually male. Most female decepticons are very masculine in a way. Robots don't reproduce sexually but they can build more. The term race or breed to describe autobots and decepticons is confussing. They should have use the terms model ortypes because they are not organic creatures. All transformes need sparks to live except the dinobots unless Wheeljack hadsoem troed up somewhere or stole some like Starscream did with combaticons or how MEgatron trick the Vector sigma to make the stunticions.

Quenn, you got some really good points, once what you've written has been read 4 or 5 times so you can understand it.

What female decepticons are there?

The things you describe are cartoon inconsistencies, and Female Decepticons are there to be warriors. Transformers is, after all, a cartoon/comic/toyline about war. And why would you need them to look "Good" when they're just there to fight?

Flamewar, Arcee's evil twin sister (In mold only) is a female decepticon. Look at the picture they give her on Wikipedia: She's crazy!

I like Thunderblast. She also raises some interesting points about the Transformers not being organic beings thing, because she's got the hots for Galvatron, and Shortround's got a crush on her, so Transformers don't reproduce, buit they can still be attracted to each other...

Override is pretty masculine, my gf still won't belive me that she's a girl!

Thunderblast doesn't raise any debate over anything. She was comic relief.

I like to think a female Decepticon betrays Shockwave and then he tries to kill all female transformers.

Now all I can think of is "Shockwave's Burden" on YouTube.

I will never look at Female Autobots the same again.

How anyone hasnt mentioned the very best of female decepticons Black Arachnia is beyond me. The most fleshed out female character in TF history, more so than even Arcee.

I suppose you could make the argument that Arachnia is a maximal briefly moonlighting as a predacon during the early part of the beast wars.
But it looks like she will be going back to the bad side come the new cartoon in 2008.

She is my pick for the best female decepticon.

It's the endless robot gender argument - why should a non-organic species need males and females anyway?
I'd imagine it would be a matter of choice. Since they're based on humanoid beings in the first place, there's already the choice between the two gender archetypes. Those who have personalities that more closely fit the female archetype are made female bodies, and robots might even choose a gender themselves.. it could just be a matter of aesthetic preferance. XD

I won't believe you, either... I liked the Override toy, but didn't get the character, so I just retooled it into a new one...
