Online Seller Selling KO TFs

Just wondering if they are any good or if anyone has bought from this store I found while losing auctions on Ebay. They have KO Cassettes and a KO Swoop. I really want a Ratbat and the KO doesn't sound so bad.

They are being sold on Ebay now! http://toyvalley.150m.com/

It's a KO. Quality aside, knock-offs are what kill genuine Takara/Hasbro reissues.

Seen a Devestator giftset from Takara lately? Nope. No point producing something of quality in a market that's flooded with the same product of lesser quality.

And before anyone criticises me that KO's aren't that bad, just stop and use your brains. They're illegal, plain and simple. And the ones that are being produced in G1 packaging are even worse as sellers intentionally target collectors with inflated prices with the sole intention of ripping the collector off.

If a person wants to support that go right ahead. But don't turn around and claim to have a G1 MISB Swoop in your collection because it's nothing but an overpriced illegal piece of crap.

** DON'T BUY KNOCK-OFFS **
Unless it's for kitbashing purposes.

I had bought a KO Devastator at Walgreens maybe 5 years ago and the thing literally disintegrated in about 3 days. They kinda suck.

I have no problem buying KOs, Bootlegs, whatever you wish to call 'em.

I love 'em.

I never plan on reselling anything, don't give a crap about authenticity, I don't keep anything in the package, and I'd sure like to finally have Ratbat and Frenzy to go with my vintage Ravage and reissue Soundwave/Laserbeak.

If I have $30+ later on I might go for that one, illegal or not.

My other reason I buy KOs is for parts to repair those of mine that are in disrepair. They work for the most part.

There's the Ebay auction. I do intend to get a vintage Ratbat and I already have a Frenzy(RUMBLE DAMMIT!) but getting my hands on a Ratbat WITH ears in good condition is next to impossible along with Wheeljack! That's why I was wondering about this perticular KO. I've got KOs before and they fell apart OR just look crappy but if the condition on these ones are good I may just go for it.

Are you getting them to add to your collection so you can say "yay me! I have a minty G1 Ratbat in my collection!"?

Don't be that hard on the guy. Some people look at reissues as crap because they are not the "Originals"

Without Reissues I wouldn't have Soundwave, prowl, Predaking... you name it. Remember how much G1 transformers cost prior to reissues? Prowl with a broken roof was at least 80+ dollars.

KO Ratbats and Swoops would probably kill the price of vintage figures if they are good copies. whats wrong with that? I collect to collect and don't plan to resell unless I have too. i wouldn't mind a KO Swoop or Ratbat because I doubt a Takara reissue is going to happen anytime soon...

When was the last G1 Reissue? Galvatron?

I'm NOT being hard on the guy. I'm simply asking a question.

I have no problem with reissues, like you I now have a Prowl, Predaking, and a couple of other figures I didn't have as a kid.

But to pick up KO TF's and put them in your collection and claim them as G1 figures is wrong. And they're not going to kill the price of vintage figures, because these crooks that are selling these KO's are selling them at highly inflated prices targetting collectors.

I'm not going to pay $50+ for a knock-off when I could probably pay a little bit more for the genuine article. I may be paying more but there's a better chance the money isn't going to some criminal.

well... you could say they are KO G1 figures no? :-?

Let the guy do what he wants. I know when I was broke and wanted a G1 Devastator I brought a KO. Then I threw it out and brought the Original. 8)

You can't beat the feel of an original. 8)

TRU Soundwave. :P

Personally, I just want a Ratbat figure (authentic or no) b/c I loved the Marvel Comics character. If they'd make a Titanium of War Within Ratbat I'd be happier with that.

KO's are fun, yeah so long as no one tries to pass them as an original (displaying or selling), I myself have a few G1 KO's, i had to glue my KO devastator together though  , it was only 10 (NZ) bucks, so i'm not complaining.

Go have another read of when I said that. It was a generalised comment not aimed at any one individual.

True, I just kinda felt for the guy because I know him from a board I haunt from time to time. I responded because it did sound a bit harsh but if that wasn't your intent then I apologize.

I always sound harsh. I blame the internet for not properly conveying emotions. :P
