Man Each Series gets worse and worse. This time they made Prowl a Bike. Well the reason Prowl was my favorite charcter was because he was a police car but they screwed him up now that he is a bike

Prowl's actually the one design I liked from the get-go. Prowl as a ninja motorcycle has some serious potential, IMO. Kinda fits the name a bit better, at least. The name Prowl makes him sound like he should be a stalker/hunter, and the Animated design gives me a real Snake Eyes ( ala G.I. Joe ) kind of vibe. I see this Prowl being a quiet, kind of no nonsense kicking of major butt.
I just hope the toy's cool. At least they've gotten better at making motorcycles.

well I guess. But, I still liked him better as a police car.

Hey Ratchet just looks like a styalized G1 Ratchet. In other words except for the different animation styal he just looks like the same old Ratchet from G1 and he's 10,000,000 times better looking than Movie Ratchet who looks absolutly nothing like G1 Ratchet.

I have always liked Prowl as well, but I dont mind him being turned into a Motorcycle.
A NINJA Motorcycle at that.
Ransack was done well in the Cybertron series, and his toy was bloody good, no reason why Prowl cannot be the same.

Bumblebee looks like a cat (that IS him, right?) God, I hate the Cartoon Network. Must they ruin everything? It has that terrible Cartoon Network look to it....I think I'll bow out of this series completely.

Do you guys think the designs were intended for a younger demographic? I wonder if they passed these by some focus groups. What the heck will the toys look like?
Full of questions tonight sorry...

Still reserving judgement here. Getting mixed signals about the writing, and the writing is what really counts.

Ok, we have only seen a few official pictures of Animated so far, how has it F'ed up a lot of things?
Just please people, give the series a chance, you might like it, its the movie all over again, fans bitching over designs that are different, though mind you this happens with every new series, just give it a bloody break people.[/rant]

QFT
Considering the things I've heard about the Animated toys, I can only hope there'll be some great things in this new addition to the TF universe. Many of the storyline/character information that have come out have made be reverse my initial skepticism quite a bit, to the point that I'm actually looking forward to it. Multiple personality Blitzwing? That could be gold, assuming he doesn't become the comic relief Decepticon character. Oh yeah, and the return of a Black Arachnia character! I've got high hopes... high hopes...

That was the funiest post I've seen to date.
Now I wanna seen Anorexic Prime (Animate Optimus) vs. Fatimus Prime (Energon Optimus) battle.
Anyway, I can't tell for sure right now but alot of the designs have simular looks to Transformers from other series... mostly in their alt modes though.
Optimus = Cybertron Prime
Bumblebee = Movie Bumblebee
Prowl = Cybertron Ransack
Ratchet = G1 Ratchet
Big Green Guy whos name I do not know = Tankor
You do see the simularitys between the characters I just mentioned don't you? None of them are 100% dead on but the simularitys are there.

If you look at Animated Optimus Prime, and can't see the resemblance to Cybertron Prime, you are blind. That's really all there is to say about that. It's crazy how much like the Cybertron toy it looks.
You're right, though, they're using alot of similar designs to things we've seen before. I get kind of a Universe/Robot Master hodge podge feeling for this new line. Kind of makes me really curious to see what we'll end up with the Decepticons. Maybe they'll roll out G2 Tank Megs to lead 'em.

Glad to know someone besides me noticed that.
Anyway, I can't wait to see the toys for this series. I highly doubt any of them will be show accurate due to the styalized robot modes.
It's too early to tell right now but I think they might be repaints/remolds of the characters I mentioned before. Or they could more likely be entirely new toys. Either way I'm 100% sure the robot modes will not be show accurate unless they're non-transforming toys.

That's not Bulkhead. According to
this Bulkhead transforms into a vehicle simular to the Fantastic 4's jet which is allso kinda ironic because I went to see Fantantastic 4 on the day Transformers came out.

Hasbro said that they were aiming for 90% show accuracy.

I'm probably the only one who thinks that animated: Prowl looks like robotic Batman

This is just making me sad. And angry. Why do they have to look so funky? Is this show just for five year olds and high teenagers? I'm ok for a little change, if it looks professional and decent. I liked the armada look, even if the show isn't spectacular. The anime look works for Transformers. But this? I'll go now because I feel another rant coming on.

I think Prowl looks very cool. I like the new designs. People need to relax and wait until they actually see the new cartoon before being so damn negative and judgmental. Prowl is and has always been my favorite transformer but let's face it folks...this ain't 1984. They need to change and mold into different styles as time goes on. If they don't try to stay current and fresh how are they to gain new viewers and collectors? There is enough old school stuff out there that I feel with everything Transformers that is going on now there is something for everyone to enjoy. Oh well...whatever. I guess no matter what not everyone is going to be happy. Somebody has to find negative aspects to everything.
