Prime really doesn't need lips. Tfs do not need a mouth to emote, just becuase writers are so limited in their ability to portray emotion; just like how in Cybertron every robot had to have a different silly accent, just so kids could tell them apart.
But this is what Transformers is all about... so what now? Your gonna deem it all as crap because they have mouths and different accents? If you found all this so stupid to begin with then why did you remain a fan?
With answering that question, you will (hopefully) find out why it doesnt matter if Prime has lips or not.
lol I always thought these new shows were crap, but their toy design was excellent.
I'm not really bothered by Prime's new set of lips. They're a lot better than his set in Cybertron, mainly down to the change in animation style. They don't bother me at all, I just wanted to post something today

To be brutally honest, I have only ever really been a fan for the toys. I love how they can change from one form to a comletely different one, and hope that one day their transformation can be done entirely by pressing a single button. That would lead to greater things for us all.
PS I think I need to help. Tfs feel more like an addiction than anything

I look forward to this new cartoon. From what we have seen, it looks to be quite well written; and, best of all, no silly accents! Yay! You can tell it's written by the Beast Wars team just from that!
It doesn't look like Prime will have a mouth for most of the series either way. His earth mode toy has a faceplate, so it's down to it being a case of battle mask, or he has a faceplate permenantly.
Prime is who he is by his actions. He could look like Wheelie, but he will be recognisable by the way he thinks and acts to other characters.
While most of the toys don't strike a chord with me, the show looks to be quite promising.
