What was the smartest or the stupidiest thing that you have seen in the transformers series? In my opinion,That stupid female qunitession ,Alpha Q and its possession of SCorpok.

Stupidist? Transformers like Alpha Trion that have beards. just looks wrong. Unicron and Scourge are the exceptions.

Loved the film but refusing to do the Mass changing thing for Megatron but having the Allspark shrink down?

Stupidist? Armada Trilogy

Stupidist? Lack of scale in the toylines. Even as a kid I hated Motormaster and the combiners because they looked out of place with G1 Prowl. Cars larger than jets just look wrong.

Most annoying? repeatedly revamping the series instead of giving us one continuity like the Star wars fans have.

Where the hell did you get Alpha Q was Female?

Smartest Idea- Maturing Season 3 of G1 for viewers growing up.
Stupidest Idea- Mass Chuck Cunningham syndrome of most of the season 1 or 2 characters that weren't in the movie, but just disappeared. THAT'S what helped kill the series, all of our favourites from early series' only made cameos. (And don't anyone tell me "Well, this character was killed in the draft of the script!" That was a draft, it never actually made it into practice, did it?)

Smartest? Killing Optimus Prime, bear with me now. In cartoons and comics, you can bring anyone or anything back. Dismembered, disembowled, whatever, they can all come back if you're clever enough at writing. Killing Optimus created so much buzz and interest in the series that it was probably, ultimately, a good thing. It certainly stands out in everyone's mind as a pretty significant if not thee significant moment in the last 20+ years of Transformers history. All in all, probably a smart move. Besides, death brings an air of reality and danger to any given story, and Transformers really benefits from that.

MOST STUPID? Trying to pawn off Wheelie as the new Bumblebee. Not even zygotes are that gullable. Come on Hasbro/Sunbow

2nd MOST STUPID? Having an awesome, supremely well written show like Beast Wars (and although I personally didn't like it Beast Machines) then de-evolving and following up with shows like Armada and Energon and Cybertron, which play like they're for pre-schoolers.

Smart Idea: Killing off Optimus Prime, and introducing Rodimus Prime.
Stupid Idea: Bringing back Optimus Prime, but failing to bring back Megatron.

Granted, if you can bring back Optimus, you can bring back Megatron. I actually like Galvatron, but I'm just staing this for logic. Maybe Megatron could come back, but as a version that has better abilities. Or maybe Megatron comes back, but his transforming into Galvatron and then getting turned back into Megatron really messed up his mind.

With Rodimus Prime, he should have been left as Prime, and he needed to be developed more as a character. A Prime doesn't remain a Prime forever, as they are not immmortal. But Optimus could hve been regarded as one of the Great Primes, and left at that.

Smartest - Bringing back Optimus Prime to life so I wouldn't be so damn depressed! Actually it didn't quite work as I stopped watching the series because I was still pissed that Megatron never really died. It's just not fair. (to a 9 year old)

Dumbest - Autobots can't fly.

Autobots flying.

The stupidiest thing: Not making a one series continuity insted of making more paralel universe stories again and again and again.

The smartest thing: Taking the courage on the animated movie to kill almost all the main cast of the previous seasons (I can't think of anything better right now)

I believe the Japanese version of Superlink (Energon) had Alpha Q as a female. Though I guess this was changed for the American dub.

Preproduction on Alpha Q had "her" as a princess, and her final face would be that of a human girl, which Kicker wuld have discovered. This didn't make it to the final model.

Backstory found here in the Wiki -

Ah, Damo sees. Damn idiots have to change EVERYTHING in the English dub, don't they?

The one thing though that should be noted when reading the original source of that information (which, thankfully, that wiki had a link to and thus provides some varacity) is that the concept of Alpha Q turning out to be a young princess was an early concept whcih was abandoned. In the end, Alpha Quntessan was male.

:-x Where do you get this WELL of insider information? Hangon, you're Mentok the Midtaker, ain't you, Tramp? And you've been reading Raymond's mind. So, how's things on Birdman?

Heh, Mentok's my favourite character from BMATL.

Damolisher, did you even bother reading the article or the source it has in the footnotes? I did. I don't trust WIkis so I went to the foot notes and clicked on the link to the original source article and read that as well to verify the information.

It's called research.

Yeah well, I do believe I said Preproduction.

I do believe that Alpha Q in Superlink was female, though this backstory never made it - anyone ever see Superlink who can collaborate this?
In america Alpha Quintesson in Energon was male.

According to the source link, whether Alpha Q was going to end up being a little boy or a little girl in the end was going to be decided by Hasbro for both series. Takara wanted it consistant for the final animation because that way they could both use the same animation. IF one decided on a boy, and the other a girl, they would need different animations for the character. In the end, it was decided he would be a male character.

In the new Movie....

Prime refused to transform into truck mode when he and the human couple need a quick get away.

And...

Prime kicking them hard when the couple fell from his shoulder.

Stupidest thing I've ever seen...Grimlock saves the universe BY FINDING THE FRIGGING OFF SWITCH.
I mean, really, here was the chance for Grimlock to shine, and...the show's writers have no idea how to solve the problem they wrote themselves into. So he finds THE FRIGGING OFF SWITCH!
It still bothers me to this day...

He didnt kick them, he tried to offer them another point to grab onto, but it didnt work.

Also Big rigs arent the fastest vehicles on the road nor the most agile when it comes to maneuverability, so when they are being chased by helicopters and suv's how far do you really think he is going to get?

Running will be at least 20 times slower than a speeding rig.
Not a speed devil, but at least fast enough to get out of the scene and disappear into the highway.

He didn't try to kick them. But what he did, results in the same thing. That's why it's a "stupidest" thing to DO. The intention was noble, but the action is very stupid.

Another stupidest... this one from G1

After Teletraan1 repaired all the Decepticons, Megatron should have blasted away and destroyed Prime. And proceed to annihilate the rest of the Autobots, and crush Teletraan1.

Some may say he's in a hurry to make energon cubes to bring to Cybertron, with the end goal of conquering the planet and destroy the Autobots.

So why not just skip the entire process, and destroy the Autobots while in stasis mode?

Megatron often says: I would have waited an eternity for this...

But whenever the opportunity comes, he just let it slip by.

Simply stupid!

Yes a big flaming truck will disapear onto the highway when helicopters are flying overhead.

Well, to be fair, for all intents and purposes the Autobots were dead, it would have been a waste of time and energy. It was Starscream's inteptitude which resulted in the Autobots being reactivated.

It's nighttime. And there were 5 of them.

If Prime gets into a traffic with several trucks around, which is possible for nighttime, he can easily blend in.

How did Ratchet disappear anyway? A big customized bright yellow-green humvee. That's even easier for the choppers to follow. Humvee's are not speed devils either.

Among the 5, only Jazz (due to his small size and fast speed) and Ironhide (due to his dark color), can possible have a minuscule chance to disappear or outrun the pursuers.
