Funniest Goofs

As we all know, the G1 cartoon is infamous for animation goofs. And they can get really bad. For me, one of them that sticks out is when the spores were infecting everyone, and they turned bright red when infected (as many things do :D ). Rodimus is colored red in one shot before being infected, then is grabbed by the arm and infected...and turns red again.

If we had to count the animation goofs, we'd be here all night. Sometimes they are pretty dumb, but it makes the show that much more special.

They were pretty consistent with the coloring goofs of Thundercracker and Starscream, as well as the multiple Starscreams. Also, there was one weird goof when Rodimus' head slides backwards a couple times when he's done talking to Prime's statue.

Not exactly funny, but in G1's "Swarm of Insecticons"(or another episode around then, I watched the whole disk late last night), Optimus Prime is sitting there is truck mode, then we see a clip of him transforming from robot to truck, really quickly, then suddenly he's in robot mode... Did no one check for things like that before finalising the episode? It's kinda obvious it's the wrong way round...

(My memory could be wrong but I think it's just after Shrapnel used his control ray on two of the autobots & tried to run the others off the road.)

Not a G1 one, but one of my favorite beast wars goofs was in "Crossing the rubicon".

Blackaracnia (sp?) gets damaged earlier in the episode, gets repaired, and the next scene is shown fully damaged again with no given reason.

Also, preTM Rattrap in Code of Hero is always a good one.

If we're going into BW then how about this:

Code of Hero:
Megatron flys over the valley without his legs.
Quickstrike's left shin is the wrong way round when he advances on a beaten Dinobot.
And of course the Basic beast Rattrap during the funeral.

I think the funniest goof was in one of the first episodes. Megatron says something like, "Decepticons, to the air!" They all jump into the air and there's a shot of this huge massive fleet of Decepticons flying in the sky. There must be at least thirty of them, when at that point in this series, there were only about 9 Decepticons on earth.

There's a similar goof in the pilot three-parter, I think. Megatron tells Soundwave to assemble a strike-force; Soundwave complies and says "Strike force assembled." As he says this, it pans over a huge group of Decepticons. There's about 6 Reflectors, 3 Starscreams, 3 Thundercrackers, 3 Skywarps, and 2 Rumbles or something.

The Decepticons sure were outnumbered back in those early episodes, so I guess they had to rely on animation errors to bolster their ranks. lol

"Right troupes... Today we're going to attack the Autobot base & defeat them once & for all!!!"
"Er, lord Megatron, Sadly the animators got it right today, so... Yea, we only have 9 people...."
"Aw Slag! Ok, let's just do what we usually do, attack, last 3 minuets & retreat like a bunch of cowards..."

In the movie adaptation comic, page 10 when Ultra Magnus asked Perceptor for an evaluation of the Decepticons attack the lines are all mixed up.
Blurr tells Ultra Magnus the news of the Decepticons, which is Perceptor's line.
Then Perceptor uses Springers (?) line "In other words Perceptor".

---

In the same comic Devestator stands quite amazingly tall. In comparison Megatron is about half the size of one leg, meaning either Megatron is tiny or the Constructicons are big assed robots.

---

Again, with the comic, for some reason Hot Rod, who has basic medical knowledge, tells the others that he "fears the wounds are... fatal."

Transport to Oblivion: One of the Autobots(I believe it's Jazz) mentions that he's worried about Spike and Bumblebee. Despite the fact that Bumblebee is standing right next to him.

Also, in More Than Meets The Eye, Bumblebee is standing next to Hound prior to being sent out on recon, but then changes to Cliffjumper inexplicably.

Of course, part of the fun of G1 were things that weren't quite animation errors, but were just bizarre. Like in Transport, when Shockwave is firing at something inside his citadel, then transforms to robot mode and says how he's running low on energon. o_O

I remember once Thundercracker had Starscream's voice. Aren't people that make tv shows supposed to be professionals? I think they had a toddler working in editing.

Soundwave saying "Excellent Ravage" in Dr Claw's voice from Inspector Gadget.(Transport of Oblivion?)

Mixmaster talking with Sideswipe's voice. (City of Steel)

That there are more sweeps and warriors than there were reformatted by Unicron and it is kinda weird that Unicron chosed the insecticon leader who had the ability for mind control and the two biggest brownnosing seekers into Cyclonus and SCourge.
