I know how much the community on this website loves to hear about the somewhat strange and yet awesome cross selling tie-ins that the TRANSFORMERS MOVIE has caused.

Well, here is some good news for those of you hated the idea of a plastic toy shoe Transformer because you couldn't wear them.

NIKE and Transformers announced back in February that they would be releasing NIKE brand wearable shoes with related Transformers colors, symbols, and names.

These will now become available for purchase in three different styles!

Here are the three styles shown (NIKE Air Trainer III, NIKE Air Max 90 Boot, and the NIKE Air Trainer Huarache):

It is guessed that the first shoe is based off of Optimus Prime colors, the second is guessed to be Starscream colored, and the third, is thought to be Megatron (or Galvatron).

You may notice that there is a lack of Autobot or Decepticon symbols on these. The original designs shown in the news did indeed have the symbols, but the page linked to for the original pics no longer posts them. It looks like the faction symbols just could not make the final cut for the shoe designs.

I don't know about you, but I kind of like these funky colors, but I'm a lover or NIKE shoes and Transformers. So if you go out shopping tomorrow, and happen to see any of these TF styled NIKEs, would you let us know what store they were located in? Thanks.

They don't seem the same without the logo's on them...

Colours are really funky though, I would love to see a Jazz, Wheeljack based shoe though...

I'm in agreement on that, and I appreciate you taking it as a joke autobot comander.

EDIT: Now that I look closer, I think I could like the AIR MAX pair also, but the purple shoe strings have got to go!!!

Fricking lame without the symbol. These could have been so cool. I might have bought a pair of each.

Yeah, kinda not worth it now cause there aren't any faction symbols on them. W/o the symbols you'll have people looking at you like you have some fashion issue. Either thinking you're a hard core Prince fan or stuck in '89, just grab your Zubaz and you're good. I don't even want to know how much more they are going to ask for these as apposed to the normal ones because they are "special editions".

Does anyone else think that the Nike Transformers was a stupid idea? I fail to see the appeal to any transformer fan.

I like the Optimus colors, but there's no way I could pull the look off.

Yes they do, with a few flicks of the wrist, pulls of the finger, and it turns from untied shoe to tied shoe and back again!
