Transformers non-transforming Space Ships

I'm looking for pictures of all the different ships that Transformers have piloted including the Ark, Axellon, and several other ships I either can't remember the names of or simply don't know the names.

The reason I want these pictures, I'm wanding what they'd look like if they too could transform.

What brought up this topic? Look at G1 Bumblebee's Cybertronian vehicle mode, It looks just like the Ark.

The Pred ship wasn't named in the series but has been officially unofficially named 'Darkside' or 'Darksyde' (spelling dependent on media) after one of Terrorsaur's lines in an early episode.

I'll have a look for some decent images later (currently at work) but in case they're useful for other people's searches, here are all the names I can think of off the top of my head, with the proper spelling:
  • The Ark
  • Nemesis
  • 'Autobot shuttle' (movie Autobot ships - one comic had the Ark redesigned as a larger version of one of these)
  • Steelhaven (Galvatron's movie ship)
  • Axalon
  • Darkside / Darksyde (don't be surprised to get a load of DC pics...)
  • Xantium (the Wreckers' ship in IDW Stormbringer - based on Don's ??Stronghold?? kitbash)
  • Ark-XX (IDW - I think -5, -19 and -32 have been seen, but don't hold me to that)

Is that based on the comics then? The one Glyph mentioned?

There was a long thread about that, prior to the great board crash of yore.

The head is similar to the entire Ark that crashed in G1. However, the body is more in line with the TF:TM Autobot shuttles with a little comix action thrown in for good measure.

So to answer your question it is an Amalgam.

Is the Steelhaven name for Galvatron's ship made up via fanfiction, or did a scribe retcon a name for it?

The name came from the TFTM script I believe.

Steelhaven is also the name of Fortress Maximus' ship in the Marvel comics, though most fans call it the "needle" ship.

Um... I allways thought Galvatron's ship in the movie was just one of the Sweeps.

Anyway looking at the cartoon ships for G1 The Ark does look alot like Bumblebee's Cybertron vehicle mode and the Nemesis looks like Skywarp because of the shape and color. It does have alot more detail than their Triangle/Pyramid vehicle modes though. (And I'm talking about the cartoon Cybertronian jets not the War Within verions of them.)

The Darksyde (as I belive the offical name on toy packaging spells it) looks like it was modeled after Unicron with the horns in the back.

I had forgotten about that ship. I was thinking of the sceen when they crashed Starscream's corination. I belive Galvatron was ridding in one of the Sweeps when they litterally crashed through the wall.

Yeah, it was either Cyclonus or that "clone" of his that disappeared after the movie.

I've always had a hunch that it was that clone that Galvatron was riding around in and when Grimlock shot fire at them, when they are attacking the city the second time, that clone gets destroyed beyond repair which would clear up what happened to him.

But, anyway.

There's more than one "clone" and they're called Sweeps.

Cyclonus' clone aka Armada.

"Cyclonus, the warrior, and his Armada."

uh, yeah.

You're confusing Scourge and his Sweeps with Cyclonus and Armada.

Armada gets destroyed by Grimlock as talked about.

Wow I never realized there were so many non-transforming ships used in a show about Transforming robots.

Someday, they'll all be able to transform.

Look at Unicron.

Look at Cybertron.

Look at Millennium Falcon

Look at Chewbacca.

Look at Darth Vader.

In the original series there were also a bunch of ships which would appear once or twice then get no further mention. A quick list of these would be

Autobot:
Courier ship: Five Faces of Darkness, used by Blurr and Wheelie
Orb ship: Five Faces of Darkness, used by Springer/Arcee
Jet Ship: Five Faces of Darkness, used by Aerialbots
Stealth Frigate: Fight or Flee, used by Rodimus Prime
Grimlock's ship: Grimlock's new brain, built by guess who
Escort ship: Dark Awakening, used by Hot Rod et al to reach the fleet
Battleship: Dark Awakening, used by Optimus
Battleship: Return of Optimus Prime, same as above but with different design
Mini-shuttle: the Rebirth, used by Headmasters

Decepticon:
Energon Ship: Ultimate Doom pt 3, used by Megatron
Mountain Ship: A Prime Problem, has a mountain like hologram
Mining Ship: Secret of Omega Supreme, used to get to asteroid
City Ship: The Girl who loved Powerglide, big flying saucer
Gryphon: Aerial Assault, stupidest looking ship, might not fly in space
Galvatron Shuttle: The Rebirth, used by Cyclonus et al

The original comics also had a few ships which weren't mentioned on the Trans wiki (yet)
The pretenders in part 3 of Matrix Quest had a very angular ship which didn't make any other appearences.
Thunderwing's bird of prey style starship
Half a dozen ships appeared in the last 3 issues of the comics.

Oh and a Cyclonus clone (possibly Armada) does appear on one other occasion. In Five Faces of Darkness, when the Decepticons are descending on Cybertron, Galvatron, Cyclonus, and Scourge are leading the assault with several troops around them. One of the ones in back appears to be Armada though his color scheme here is blue and grey. Of course, with the atrocious animation in that 5 part series whether or not this can be accepted is questionable.

Let me refraise...

They're both purple dudes... when you're color blind. :P I just thought everyone Unicron upgraded was Purple.
