Small Collections

I have been a Transformers fan since 1984, and have been collecting as long. Yet, my Transformers collection is rather small, most often due to the usual obstacles like bills, food, shelter, and other distractions. But my loyalty to the 'bots has been strong, even through the dark years, and so I seek others who are just as hardcore about Transformers as I am, even if they don't have the huge collection to prove it. This is for all of those with smaller collections of Transformers. Show(or tell)us what you got!

G1-
Sideswipe
Bumblebee
Ultra Magnus
Jetfire
Gnaw
Hun-Grr
Frenzy
Ravage
Warpath

G2-
Sideswipe

Beast Machines-
Cheetor

Energon-

Arcee

Alternators-
Sideswipe
Silverstreak

Masterpiece-
Optimus Prime

Robot Heroes-

Megatron
Skywarp
Mirage
Cliffjumper
Shockwave

No offense, but I was under the impression that this would be 6 degrees of BB from other TF or non-TF characters rather than a rather dull connection of one's human self to the new movie.

It was bound to happen at some point in time.

So, you decided to completely alter the thread into a new and different thread?

Way to confuse the masses.

See, Hellbender has succeeded in confusing you.

This thread was originally on something completely different than it is now and Hellbender edited the title and original post instead of starting this topic in a new thread, thus, causing your confusion.

In no way, am I stating anything against the topic of this thread, but this caused you, Sunstar, to think that I was.

100 Transformers? Wow. I cried last week because I saw the Devastator 5 pack at Wally-world and couldn't afford it. Still crying. Man if I had that many 'bots, I would turn my home into one big model of Cybertron.

I have like 160-170 TFs, but it is small compared to the fact that there are members here who have 1,000s of them.

I have all of the robot heroes from the movie line, Arcee and Barricade from the Deluxe line, Starscream from the Voyager line and the Ultimate Bumblebee.

Unfortunately, I haven't been fortunate enough to see any TFs from lines that are not associated with the movie, so I am still a movie noob T_T

I would love to broaden my collections though :D

I don't think it should matter how many you have as long as you have the ones you want.

The last TF I bought was like 3 months ago and I'm not going to run out and buy a whole bunch just to increase the # of them I own.

QFT

I have two Tfs, MP Megatron and MP Starscream.

I have one on preorder: MP Skywarp.

And one I'm determined to get: American Starscream, AKA Anime Screamer or as I call him, White Starscream.

Any collection is relative to what others have.

Me personally? I'm not entirely sure, I stopped counting at 500, though I'm sure it's over the 600 mark now.

IN all honesty, though, I treat them as a series of small collections. I have my G1/reissue collection, my robot heroes, my masterpiece figures, my pretender collection, My Prime collection, my Megatron collection...it really just depends on which ones I want to set out in what groupings, but I have several scattered throughout my living room.

I never saw buying TFs as a contest of whose got a bigger collection or tried to ban together with others with about the same toy count I had due to toy envy. I just get what I like. For the most part, what I've tried to do I've tried to be complete about, but I don't think I've completed any set (the closest is the 10th anniversary beast Wars, & all I'm missing is the deluxe Megatron with predacon ship)there are a lot of figures I still wish I had, & a few I regret buying, because I only got them to complete a set...but I wouldn't part with any of them.

well

My collection is small (less than 50) but is due in no part to being any less of a Transformers fan and not running right out and buying the figures when they hit the shelves. Having very little time or money can put a dent in anyone's plans to buy their favorite collectibles, and some hardcore Transformers fans just can't have the kind of collections that they want, and this thread is just to let them know that they are by no means part of a small group. Many are the times when I was a kid (1984-90) that I would run to the local store (Target, KayBee etc.) to pick up the newest arrival of Transformers, only to find slim pickings. Shelves bare, minis few and far between, and not a sign of the 'bots that I wanted. Trying the next store was futile as well, same story. Even today, the story is the same, I just picked up deluxe Barricade after waiting a week and a half for the local Wal Mart to replenish their stock after having their shelves stripped bare of Transformers. And this is not uncommon, this is a weekly event. Not to mention the fact that I can't even find a deluxe Ironhide or Starscream in the hick town that I live in, we have 2 Wal Marts, but no other major retail stores, like a Toys'R Us! This kind of whackadoo retailing can make it all but impossible to collect Transformers, especially when the local stores stop carrying regular Transformers and only carry the Transformers from the film! No wonder our collections are lacking. But do not be disheartened, having a small collection does not make you less of a fan, nor does it mean that you will never have those particular Transformers that you always wanted.

ive only got about 35 but i like having a small collection. Half the fun of collecting is...well collecting. If you had thousands of TF's then the collecting would be over and wheres the fun in that?

Also..having such HUGE collections....i think the owners of them are over-compensating for something, if you know what i mean.? ;)
