Okay, so after thinking about doing it for years, I decided to proudly display my TF collection on a spiffy Dave-made display case - and I must say it's coming on a treat!

But my reason for this thread is the piccie below. I couldn't find anyone else mentioning anything similar, but I was wondering if many people still had their membership card from the old Secret Transformers Autobot Rescue Squad??

I was searching through tons of old TF stuff and found mine..I was so chuffed! I also found all my old techspecs, decoders and box art that I saved over the years.

Alas, the S.T.A.R.S cardboard base went the way of a lot of things and is no longer with us..but I now proudly carry my card in my wallet;)
And yes, the rub sign still works perfectly!

I wish I still had all that stuff, but I have no idea what happened to it or when, unfortunately. If I still had that card, it would go straight into my wallet, as yours has.

Actually, about the only thing I do have left of my S.T.A.R.S. stuff is the Autobot headquarters. I display most of my G1 and custom Autobots with it. My cutsom Ratchet and G1 Hoist are in the med bay, custom Wheeljack at the mainfraim, Cosmos on top Skids and some minibots scattered around. Below that are the rest of the custom and G1 Autobots I have out, on their way to battle lead by Prime and Elita-1.

That's awesome...wish I still had mine!

When I saw "S.T.A.R.S" as the title I was thinking somebody combined Transformers with Resident Evil

One thing about the STARS card that's a little confusing..is that the advert for it which I've seen online - which also features the mail-in offer for the Omnibots - says the card changes from bot to con. Mine clearly doesn't..it's just a regular over-sized rub sign.
Was thinking it might just be the US version that has super-changey-magic??

Min e had the changing ability. it was pretty cool too. It probably was a US thing.

I never did mail away for that but I still have the ad brochures for it

I had one but it was in storage in my garage and hurricane Katrina took it out when my area flooded..

I was thinking of using that idea for a fanfic Umbrella Corp states to a worried US President: "We have devised an effective way to deal with the alien threat, particularly the Decepticons. We have developed a techno-virus that is lethal to their kind" But what Umbrella Corp doesn't say is that their virus tends to mutate and zombiefy any Transformer it infects, or it mutates them into a Nemesis type creature.

I had STARS stuff as a kid, too, and I still have most of the paperwork, but I don't have the headquarters itself. For the life of me, I can't remember what happened to it.

Hasbro (or someone) should SO either remake the original Autobot headquarters, or design and make a new version.

I might have to try writing a fanfic crossover of sorts. Transformers with Resident Evil themes. But I just have to think up a style of writing to make it realistic, plus I would have to figure out a beginning, middle, and end.

like Galvatron vs Nemesis?
Galvatron the mad and insane one from G1, fighting Nemesis from Resident Evil 3: Nemesis.

Yup, pretty much I would have to take time to flesh it out once I have a basic premise of a story. But that can take a while.
