Transformers has come full circle

How cool is this. Transformers Animated brings back some Characters and Voice actors who haven't been around sense G1. (well their names I mean not the actual G1 Character)

One of these that I find really funny is that Weird Al who did the music in the original movie "Dare to be Stupid" that played durring the first appearance of Wreck-Gar. Now for Transformers Animated he'll actully be voiceing Wreck-Gar.

I bet when he did that song all thoughs years ago he never thought he'd be voiceing that character years later.

I really wish I had Cartoon Network and I really hope Wreck-Gar still talks TV. I use to love the Junkions TV talk. :) (It was allways a WHOLE lot better than Wheelie's rymeing, Blurr's 9,000 MPH talk, and Dinobots' refering to themselfs in the 3rd person.)

When he appeared in the return of optimus prime I loved all the little Star Trek bits. I'd love it if there was more of that.

And the Dinobots speech style was awesome. ;_; It's part of why I love them so much. I wouldn't want it changed for the world. Well... maybe for an obscenely large sum of money.

Weird Al never did Wreck-gar, it was Eric Idle from Monty Python

He didn't say that Weird Al voiced him in the movie, he said Weird Al will be voicing WreckGar in the new Transformers Animated. =x

Has it yet been confirmed that the garbage truck is Wreck-Gar ?

Wow I'd heard about the Dinobots (and seen the awesome figure sculpts) but I hadn't heard anything about a garbage truck or Wreck-Gar. I'd heard about Weird Al but I didn't think they'd bring in the Junkion reference. Anyone else know of any other characters that are coming back? I saw Arcee, the Dinobots, and that was about it.

reread my post. I never said he voiced the original Wreck-Gar.

I said his song "Dare to be Stupid" played durring the sceen in the movie when we first saw Wreck-Gar.

He's doing the voice for the Wreck-Gar in Transformers Animated.

I haven't seen the Garbage Truck you're refering to. I got this information off wiki and they didn't have a picture of the character.

Some of the pictures they do have including the Dinobots and Megatron aren't verry good. Really poor lighting and can't really see them all too well.

Well we got Blitzwing. A name we haven't heard sence the original Triple changer of G1. He's said to be some kind of skitso is this new series.

and we allso got Shockwave. Not Shockblast like in Transformers Energon, not Laserwave, he actully got his original name back.

Anyway the links to all the character's info can be found on this page. Just scroll down to where the character's names are listed and follow the links.

Only if it rtefers to a number of individual transformers, rather than a single group called "Transformers"

Back on topic,
Will be interested to see the cartoon, but it's the toys that make or break it for me. IMVHO, TF will have come full circle if we get die-cast bricks with minimal articulation (but decent QC) :D

Gaaar,
Doug

here's hoping for him being a big purple gun...or atleast a decent homage to the g1 char.

If we were really lucky, Hasbro will use the ex-tit mould for Shockwave in the new cartoon.

Yes, it doesn't have the same styling as all the other characters' figures, but who cares? I demand it damnit! :P
