I'm 27 and since i've watched the movie.I was tempted by buying a TF toy just for the fun of it.The problem is that I am too old to buy one.My friend will laugh at me and probably so will my new girlfriend.
What are you thoughts on this fellow transformer fans?(Responce from female fans would be nice)

Tricky question, and I'm going to have to give a fully considered answer:
HELL NO!

--EDIT--
To flesh the answer out a bit more: Is it your money? Can you afford to buy a TF toy if you want to? Then who's going to tell you you can't?
One of the things about TF fandom is it's always going to have a toyline at its heart, even if (like me) you're more interested in the ancillary fiction than the toys themselves. Ergo, the majority of TF fans will have some measure of toy collection. I'm 29 and I bought a TF toy today, and that's not something I intend to feel ashamed about.

I'm going to have to agree with Glyoh, I'm only 23 but I've heard all the remarks from "Aren't you too old for toys" to "Oh my G-d Transformers, I want your collection!" I collect them for me because it is something I enjoy and care about, if people do not understand that, then they don't really understand you.
Think of it this way, I bet your new girlfriend and your friend are going to buy things just for the fun of it - whether it be clothing, purses, electronic devices, or art ... the fact is, they are going to buy them because they like and want them.
Hell, I'm not going to lie to you, I recently picked up the Optimus Prime voice changing helmet (I thought it would be fun to have around the house - which it totally is) but I waited for weeks because I thought the people I live with would think it was stupid. The moment I stopped caring, bought it, drove home, and walked in the door with this thing on ... my friends died laughing - not at me, but at how fun it was. Now they all are trying to find one in stores.
So do what you like and have fun, because life is too short to care about other peoples interpretations of you.

I'm a lady fan and I don't believe you can't get a toy "just for fun." I have several toys, ones that I'm not hesitant to more then just display. They are fun to me. I will even play around with them. I have them because I genuinely like them.
If you get a toy, is there a danger your girlfriend will break up with you if you buy it? Then she may not be the girlfriend for you. But if she just rolls her eyes but she doesn't really do anything, then it means she probably accepts your interest and sees it as a hobby of her boyfriend, nothing more. It is the same with boyfriends of female Transfans.
Edit: I am 27 BTW

Ok, here's a woman's take on this. One, I am 23 and yes, I collect TFs. I'm not a big time collector, but I have a few.
If you really want a toy, there is really no reason to deprive yourself of it. I did that far too long, depriving myself of comic books and the toys, and when I FINALLY drummed up enough courage to do it, I was so much happier. Sure, I get the occasional rolling of the eyes, but you'd be surprised how little others really care. If your friends are going to make fun of you over something like a little toy, then it's their problem.

Hell F-n no you're not too old. I'm 27 and have Transformers and My Little Ponies all over the place (in case you hadn't guessed, I'm a chick) and that's just part of my personality.
Speed Dial 800 goes just about everywhere with me because he's just a great conversation piece.
Have fun, you only live once.

You and me both (Well, I do have a desk full of ponies and I've no intentions of stopping when it comes to buying them—unless they stop making them. Maybe). And I'm a chick too. 31-going-on-32.
Frankly, I don't see anything wrong with buying toys (Transformers or otherwise). They exist to bring people joy—no matter what age you are.
And if your friends don't accept it? There are still people in the world who do.
It's like that Toys-R-Us jingle I grew up with: "I don't wanna grow up, 'cause if I did, I wouldn't be a Toys-R-Us kid!"
*seriously contemplating the idea of getting a TF just to put in the purse as a "guard"—perhaps a Robot Heroes Unicron?*

I'm so HAPPY that our old friends, Transformers came back into our lives (for many of us, I guess) and that they DON'T have to be a "childhood" item anymore!!!
Heck, go RIGHT ahead and buy all TF toys you want; some are too sophisticated for small hands anyway. (I bought several toys while at Botcon last July and I'm a 36-year-old chick, BTW.)
That is the secret meaning of life: if it gives you so much joy, pleasure, and fun, go for it!=D Nothing to do with our age or gender, of course.

I am 29 and do not plan on stopping anytime soon. It is my hobby. I still pay everything (taxes, car, rent, ...) so, I believe it is a personal choice about what we do with our money and time.

My thoughts are get rid of the friend and girlfriend that will laugh at you or stand up for yourself and tell them to f*** off. You're never too old to buy toys. You should be loud and proud about your hobby. Enjoy it. You only get to live once. There are plenty of awesome people in the world who will be more than happy to accept you for who you are ... including your toys.

I just had some friends over, a married couple and their young son. My friend's husband wanted to play with my Transformers, and we all sat there working on them, minus my female friend. Finally, after proclaiming her boredom at our nerdiness, Bumblebee was handed over to her. After a couple of minutes she asked if I wanted to go to Walmart. Guess what she wanted to go buy "her kid"?

I am 31 and have been collecting since the Ark crashed. My girlfriend has no problem with it. I have them displayed all over the house. Our 11 yr old daughter and her friends think my over 500 piece collection is cool. My friends enjoy it. My best friend tells me he feels like he is going to a museum when he goes into my back room. My co-workers think it is neat. Everyone outside of my family has given me nothing but good responses. My parents and sister think it is a ridiculous waste of money. Yet they understand and respect my passion for Transformers. So anyways- I don't care what anybody says- you are never too old for Transformers. Besides we are only on this earth for a short time. Why not have as much fun and enjoyment as we can while we are here?

Simple answer: No.
Long answer: I you want to collect/play/display/form an army and try to take over the world with Transormer figures, hey...who's to stop you.
Not me, pal. Your never too old to do something you enjoy. Have fun.
Edit: I'm 32 btw. Recent acquisition was all of the Real Gear Movie Transformers.

Nope never too old.I collect other things too so I don't get crap for collecting toys. Just remember there are worser addictions you could have. At least if you get in financial trouble you can sell the toys off to make money.

Definately not I am 36 going on 37 and my collection is nearing 600. Sure some people are going to ridicule for your collection and tell you that you are too old and should give them up. But ultimately you have to ask yourself do i enjoy them, are they hurting anyone else, does it really matter what other people think if the answer is yes to the first question and no to the rest then i say go get them and to heck with what anyone else thinks as long as you enjoy collecting transformers or any other thing that suits your fancy then it really doesn't matter what age you are. Besides do you honestly think a really young person could truly appreciate say MasterPiece Megatron possibly but most likely it would take an older person to truly appreciate a masterpiece or several other TFs.
