Transformers badging my car (wrx sti)

Ok so, obviously I am a dork to some extent because I have hundreds of TF's, so badging my car isn't that much of a stretch.

Basically I want to put 2 autobot insignia's on the vehicle as a very subtle tribute to TF's, and also i think placing them in specific spots may give it an Alt mode transformer feel.

The question is, where would you put them to get the most effect while still being subtle...

Here are the possible positions. My favorite being the bottom corner of the front door panels

I could easily opt to not do this, and probably will considering I like my car as clean as possible, but im curious as to your opinions on what location will feel the best.

I just got mine recently on eBay, I felt the same way you did, so I found these:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... 0143001556

Cheap and small, I put one on the hood of my car over the hood ornament, and one on the interior. I'll post picks later if I can ever find my digital camera, but I always liked the AutoBrand on the hood.

If you really want to put it on the side, I would go with the bottom of the doors, only because I can see then sticking out like wings in robot mode - like the Alternator doors on most figures.

And don't call yourself a dork ... geek is totally the way to go. :BOT:

Quite honestly...I'd dork it out completely and put it right smack on the hood, like real Autobots. Or maybe in the front somewhere. If you don't want to be that obvious, then maybe on the door.

I'd totally nerd it out being a blue subaru and turn it into Alternator Smokescreen.

Your car is too pretty to be defiled by any sort of sticker. However, if you must, put it on the sides of the wings.

I also decided to geek out my car. I purchased an Autobot window sticker, and I promptly stuck it onto the inside of my rear window. It's kinda funny watching some people's reaction to my sticker at a stop light.
Also if I had the money I would create a badge to go over the car maker's badge and get/make a bigger sticker for the hood. Thats how I would further geekify my/any car.

If you can find a sticker that will go on the inside of a window, stick one on the lower right hand corner of your back window. If you can only find normal stickers or want an actual insignia, get it as close to the lower right corner of your back window.

Also, get one on the center of each front door, and if not that, get a big-ass one on the center of your hood.

That's what I would do.

It's about time someone made little metal insignias. I've been looking for something like that...

Finally someone awesome.
I'm just biased against foreign car companies.
Sonray..don't start beating me again XD
Anyway, here's something you could do to your car:
Remove the rear rack, get a spoiler.
Don't get me wrong, I'm lovin' the stock, bt I never liked black plastic. You could paint it.
Please, don't take offense.

I never liked that kind of mustang anyway. IMO, they arent true mustangs, but mearly overpowered ford escorts. True mustangs died after the Mach 1, and they only recently got resurrected with the new mustang.

None taken... I am not a fan of foreign cars either. (I won't own one) I do like the idea of a spoiler, maybe I should look into that.

yeah

I agree, stick 'em on the wings on your spoiler, or you could do what I have always wanted to see, a full window tint with the logo watermarked into it. That, or you could replace the existing maker's logo!

Personally, i wouldnt bother with stickers. What i would do is have an autobot logo air brushed onto the hood, right in the centre, with no white background or anything, have the red and let the blue of the subaru visible through the gaps of the autobot symbol.

Thats as far as id go with it, too many logos will make it look really lame. You wanna keep it semi-subtle, since its meant to be an autobot, i.e. a "robot in disguise".

Id have a smaller faction logo air brushed onto the centre of the trunk too, inbetween the tail lights.

And then, of course, get the faction logo to go into the steering wheel.

By not buying enough Transformers toys.

I used to have an Autobot sticker on the rear windshield of my very first car. That was sometime in the mid 90's.

I made the sticker myself, using reflector stickers. Red logo over white outline.

Nobody in my place ever thought of doing that back then. So my car became the most identify-able car in the entire city.

Car was sold in 2000.

After year 2000, there was a flood of cars with Transformers logo.

heh yea, I toyed with the idea briefly but I just can't bring myself to deface the car, even if it is with a beloved TF insignia.

BUT if i was going to do it... some metal badges (Blue autobot w/ white outline) would be how I would go, if we were doing it the BEST way :)

im 23 and an engineer, and I wish I could say i didn't buy more TF's than I should... but man I just can't stop myself.

I put mine on the rear glass. So that it can be taken off without harming the paintjob. :)

Large one on the hood and on in the middle of the decklid that would own!!

Careful. It's very difficult to remove stickers from the hood after a few years. The sun will bake the adhesives dry. And the stickers will crack.

somebody has obviously never ridden in a '93 cobra :P (i'm not a mustang fan either btw, but i give respect where its due)

as for the original post, i'd go with the lower front portion of the door, unless you really want to get dorky and have a custom emblem made to replace the subie one on the front grill.
