I think this is kinda ironic since I couldn't find anything other than Ultimate Bumblebee at the Wal-Mart store today. I decided a little bit ago to search for Transformers figures.

You know what the search turned up instead of the 08 Bumblebee or some of the other newer deluxes I wanna get?

TF ENCORE MEGATRON!

Somewhat a little freaked out here, I eventually expanded the search to phrase "transformers encore" and found the following listings (including Megatron):

Optimus Prime

Soundwave

Starscream

Megatron

Shouldn't really be surprised that this isn't news at all and I'd simply missed it whenever it was posted before. It's just that it was news to me and that's why I posted.


The wal-marts I shop at suck too. I was only able to get payload this weekend just because KB's got a toy liquidator store in the outlet mall across the street from the shop where the family was shopping.

Encore are always too high-priced.

That's why i never collect them. hehe

Not sure how they get away with selling the Encore Megatron since he is a "real life looking" gun. The Masterpiece edition had to be opened and an orange cap placed on it. How does this Encore piece get by witout the same treatment?

Anyhow, 100 bucks is a bit excessive when I get get an original from the flea market for three.

Encore sounds like a synonym for G1.

I wonder if these will actually be in stores or just online exclusives.

You really mean that? There is no way a big company like Wal-Mart is risking any penalties by smuggling in Encore Megatrons.

Nope. People just bought them out again. I got my Optimus and Megatron a few days ago.
