POVonline reports that the voice of Generation One Inferno, Walker Edminston has passed away on February 15th.

Mr. Edminston did various voices in Spiderman, The Smurfs and the original Stark Trek. He also had his own show: The Walker Edminston Show. But for the Transformers fans he is also known as the voice of Generation One Inferno.

That's unfortunate. The list just keeps getting longer.

It's so sad to see our fave characters from the golden age of transformers passing away. May he rest in peace. I hope they do him a service and give Inferno a good part in future cartoons, and that they find a decent voice actor for the character.

He will be missed.
Could this news story's avatar be changed to a picture of Inferno instead of Prime, please?

G1 Inferno was one of my top favorites as a little kid. I'm not just saying that. I still have the toy on my shelf.

Guide your spirit safe & sheltered, Mr. Edminston. Know that you've made so many, in so many places, very, very happy. Amazing how just a voice can do that.

Bless you.

To quote the Navy farewell:

May he find fair winds and following seas.

Very sad news. Yet another character that will bring some remorse to mind when I re-watch my G1 eps.

"A few misses deserve a few near Missles" That was one of my favorite quotes from G1. A shame, but everyone has their time for a reason I'd like to beleave. Another great VA tallent down, but not out.

It's actually "A near miss deserves a couple of near missiles."

Hahaha, you are correcto sir. Saying what I wrote in my head doesn't sound right anymore. Guess I got all caught up in the moment.

A funeral pyre would be very appropriate in this case.

RIP Mr. Edminston.

Another one of the best Voice actors of our time is gone, pretty soon they'll be no decent voice actors left, and we'll be left with the no-talent hacks that voice the lameass Transformers cartoons of the twenty first Century.
