..........And then they get on you about still liking TF's. I mean really, what is so wrong about it? They go "You're a Sophomore in High School. Why do you still collect Transformers?" I felt like punching him in the face. And then, there's this stupid little Freshman who thinks he knows everything. He goes "When we're older & making money, you're still gonna be collecting Transformers" So I say to him that one day I'll sell 'em all for thousands of dollars while he's out on the street like a bum & I'm in my house laughing at him. Take that you asshole Freshman. Primus, does everybody really have to ridicule me over it? I guess that the people you think are your friends really aren't.....good thin me real friends don't care. It's even better when your girfriend likes 'em too. People just tick me off sometimes...................

Well are you real annoying with your like of TFs? Like constantly talking about them? That tends to just piss people off, especially if they are real up tight.

Naw, I probably mention them maybe once a month if that. They just think I'm a loser for still liking them & collecting them. I only really talk about them constantly w/my girlfriend.

All preconceptions of what's cool and what's not completely disappears along with all power of cliques as soon as the diploma hits your hands. After high school noboby...nobody cares about what Joe the school jock thinks anymore. Just stick with it, it'll get better.
I have transformers on my desk at work. Nobody bats an eye, and some people find it pretty cool.

People will make fun of a hobbie no matter what it is. My old roomate use to give me a hard time. I remember after buying a bunch he came in my room and went.."wow, that's really cool..you do know your 30 RIGHT!?"
It just rolls off now. Besides, you know secretly they just want to play with'm too.

Next time:
1. Make a fist, backside out.
2. Do the transformation sound. You know what I mean.
3.While doing the sound, middle finger reaches for the sky.

The only thing any of my friends do is pick on me a little, but then they all have geek stuff they do (anime, gaming ect). Of course I don't collect the toys, don't have a problem with it ,but I'm not interested enough to spend that large a percentage of my income.

Yup. This is all just high school bullsh*t, DS. It gets loads better. Besides, all you have to say to yourself now is that those aren't really your friends so get away from them. If they can't accept you for who you are, then they aren't worth your time. There are many much better people in this world, I promise. Besides, you always got your bros at Seibertron, right?

Hey man, don't sweat it. I'm 24, in college and live with three other people my age. They call me a nerd for having toys all over the loft, but they don't really mean it as a negative. I know they only say it to try and get a rise out of me and that's cool. Friends are good like that sometimes. Every now and then it's nice to have someone bad mouth my TFs. Makes me think of my motto, which I do use in real life. "Some people have a bad habbit, and others a bad hobby. Some have both. I'm glad I only have a bas hobby";)^ Usually that's the point that they start hacking up a lung because they have been smoking since they were 11 or get the sniffles because of a diffent, and ass kickable habbit that they can't shake. Add up the money you spend on Transfomrers and then add up the money they spend on killing themselve. Even if you spend more, you're coming out on top because it's not putting you 6 feet under the ground sooner. Everyone here that has spoke so far has something very worth while to say (Discharges more then anyone else

) and they all agree, it's not a bad thing.

It affects us 7th graders, too. Of course, I just pretend not to hear them. Either way, there are millions of TransFans out there. And a lot of them are past high school. It's no big deal.

What grade are you in? If you're a senior, you can kick the freshman's ass, no questions asked.
It's totally true, and awesome.

1. I believe he said he was a sophomore.
2. Any senior that beats down a freshmen is a lame.

In highschool I was built like a brick ****house and I was the once beating down the seniors as they were all friends with my older brother and sister.

But seriously, don't go picking a fight with anyone, you never know how could dismantle you with the blink of an eye. Especially over something as silly as their opinions of Transformers. Just tell them to get a better hair cut or something like that. Saying that to anyone in high school will always be a snappy comeback.

Hmmmmm.........all this has made me think. Quite a lot. So, I came to the conclusion that tommorrow I'm gonna pologize to the Freshman. Just hafta figure out how to word it right. Primus knows there would be a change somewhere along the line, just didn't think it would be me. Anyway, I will make amends w/him.

Strange, I was in highschool during the years that Beast Wars was airing and my friends (who differed in "cliques" as in nerds, jocks, and so on) all thought my TF info was cool. As far as I know, I didn't really get any of them into, but they always found my discussions TFs to be interesting.
My opinion is that this individual (along with anyone who insults you on your liking of TFs) is most likely covering up their interests into a hobby or something that they are fearful of being made fun of and, therefore, join the bashing of others.

1) I disagree with some of you: High School never ends.
However -
2) Past the insecurity of adolescence, we are regarded as eccentric rather than immature.
3) We gain more control over own direction in life, allowing us more choice in our environment.
4) The further up the academic ladder you travel, the more jocks and preps you shake out of the group because they can't cut it, leading to a higher concentration of nerdiness at the top.
So, there is some hope for the future.
Oh, and rather than planning on selling them to make more money than they'll ever see, plan on being successful enough that you can spend more money than they'll ever see on future Transformers.
Edit: And the best way to make a HS Freshman feel like warmed over $#!7: silently mock him with your car keys.
You think people are your friends.....

gotta disagreea little with ya there-no matter how much a of a pain in the ass a mate is it aint worth loosing friends over them not liking ur toys-say it alloud;
"i'm not hanging out with him/her because he/she doesnt like my toys" -just sounds silly dont it!
plus when it boils down to it mates oughta be able to speak candidly and openly and slag each other! i slag some of my best mates all the time, and they slag me back-but its all in good fun. the only time i can ever remember it going to far is when one of my mates suggested that he had sex with my son (who was 3 at the time), this pissed me off just a bit, and unfortunatly i was holding a really hot cup of coffee at the time, needless to say he didnt have sex with anyone for a long time after that (the old coffee in crotch technique!). anywho his is still one of my best mate, we patched things up in about 5 mins.there is very little in life worth loosing mates over!

That's ingenius. Almost as good as that picture on eBay of the guy wearing that horrible Prime costume. I'm a big fan of that picture.....
Anyway, I'm a high school teacher and I can't even count how many times I've made some Transformers reference to my classes or tried to explain Frankensteins' monster in terms of Devastator or something. My classes like it when I do that because it's not so stuffy and 'school-like'.
Plus, to echo the sentiment, once you're out of high school, none of those people matter whatsoever to the real world.

I can't tell if that's sarcasm or not. Seemed like a more passive approach than suggesting grab the mutha by the throat and repeatedly punch him in the face.
