Because Armada came first, Energon second, and Cybertron third.

Duh.

But in actuality, the stories were changed for Cybertron instead of a stand-alone cartoon like it was in Japan, Hasbro tried to string it together with the Armada and Energon storylines, for some reason.

So, since Armada, Energon and Cybertron have the same characters, Hot Rod, Red Alert, Prime, and since they follow the same chain of events. Armada Unicron is destroyed, Energon he comes back, Cybertron he's a tank or something like that. It's a trilogy.

Good Question

Armada and Energon, though the continuity has MANY holes in in it are sequels

but Cybertron is NOT connected to armada and energon in ANY WAY POSSIBLE no matter what Hasbro tells you

They continue in the same way Beast Machines follows Beast Wars...

Dude, there are three series', in the same continuity, with the same characters, same basic premise. Ok, it's not exactly a trilogy in the star wars sense where it continues almost directly but it's still a trilogy. Look up the definition before being a dillhole :P

edit: Apologies if that sounded confrontational, I actually meant that in more of a playful way than an offensive way. Sorry if it was perceived like that before I posted this edit.

WRONG! CYBERTRON is connected, GALAXY FORCE isn't.

Offically Amrada/Energon/Cybertron follow the same story line. Or at least that's what Hasbro tells us.

Unoffically none of series tie into eachother at all. Energon uses some of the same molds from Armada but that's all. It completly abandons the idea that Mini-cons make normal sized Transformers stranger, upgrades several Armada Characters with no exsplination (Mainly the Autobots), and even turns some Mini-cons into full sized Transformers. (Armada Inferno = Mini-con packaged with Decepticon Thrust. Energon Inferno = Autobot)

Pluse Energon and Cybertron by themselfs aren't bad series. Tied in with Armada that was just one plot hole after another they suck. That's just my opinion though.

Well when i think of trilogy i think star wars i guess.Sure there are alot of the same charcters in each series it was just the story lines to me were not exactly related. This was the reason i started the thread.
1. Armada battle to fina all minicons with a twist that involved unicron

2. Energon was a battle to find energon with a story also to rvive unicron

3. cybertron was a battle to find the keys and stop a black hole.

all im saying is that to me there not all that related,But i guess a trilogy doesnt have to be related story wise to be a trilogy.

Orignally the trillogy was actully a written out plan that wasn't just tacked on. Hasbro was intending to make them all interconnect. However due to the way Japan makes its cartoons it made it harder. So While they can stand alone, the stories were supposed to be interconnecting.

Cybertron actually got into trouble becuase Gonzo wouldn't do basically what Hasbro wanted and only added on footage at the end to connect the three. Which I thought was rather lame of them. I mean Heck, they asked for three kids, white, spanish, and Asian. They got Rad, Carlos (total sterotype) and Alexis, who is supposed to be Korean. (Anyone see where that's possible with that girl?)

Energon/Superlink is meant to be a continuation to Armada/Micron Legend. Energon is meant to take place 10 years after Armada came to a close. There are plotholes galore, but it was designed to be a follow-on after Armada none-the-less.

Galaxy Force was designed to be a complete reset from the previous two series, but Hasbro retconned the Galaxy Force series when they dubbed it into Cybertron, to make it tie into both Armada and Energon.

The plotholes are larger than the Pacific Ocean, and most of the series feels particularily forced, but never the less, according the Hasbro, Cybertron is a true continuation of the Amarda and Energon Series.

Not their brightest idea, but what is done is done.

Energon/Superlink is a continuation to Armada/Micron Legend
But thats not how Takra or the Japanese producers wanted it.When the first wrote the "BIBLE' for Superlink it was an other fresh start but Hasbro insisted that they rewrite it.Funny thing is that Takara wanted Micron leagon to be a direct continuation to the G1 story but Hasbro wanted it to be a continuation to RID.So they made a comprmize. The "BIBLE" for Micron Leagon also didnt have Unicron in it at all but again Hasbro steped in and forced a change in the script.

That with continuing G1 was a idea I wanted, I mean wee all want that to happen!

But putting Unicron inside was awesome, I mean we now have a Unicron toy!

What's wrong with Paragraph#2? Besides my horrible spelling I mean.

Energon really does do a horible job of being a Sequill to Armada. I mean I know it's supose to take place like 10 years later but that just adds to the problem. How could they set up a bunch of Autobot bases on Earth in only 10 years?

How did the Autobots get Upgraded and sence the Decepticons were working with them all that time why didn't they get upgrades too.

By my figuring I really hate Aramada, that series as just poorly wrighten and I'm glad it was abandoned. Energon I see as a new series that just happens to use some of the same molds and characters. There were no Upgrades Optimus and the other just allways looked like that. :) But that's just how things work in my little world where Armada doesn't exsist.

Well Takara originally wanted Energon to be a seprate serries. And had compleated half the scripts for the first half of the first season when Hasbro insisted that they connect it to Armada. So the stories had to be a bit reworked.
O and Hello Sabe.
