The only game I know of for the Beast era is Beast Wars Transmetals.

I belive it was avalible for the original Play Station and I know it was avalible for Nintendo 64 because I have that version.

Characters include

Maximals

Optimus Primal

Cheetor

Rattrap

Airrazor

Predacons

Megatron

Tarantulas

Terrorsaur

Waspinator

I'm not sure how this works on the other version but for N64 if you hold down Z while selecting you character you can unlock hidden characters.

Tigatron (Cheetor)

Ravage (Cheetor)

Blackarachnia (Terantulas)

Starscream (Waspinator)

These are just repaints of the same models except for Blackarachnia her model is actully a super skinny version of Tarantulas and looks nothing her actual transmetal form on the show. Likewise Tigatron and Ravage have robot heads in the game not cat heads like Ravage in the series and both of their TM toys.

There's allso Megatron X he's not a playable character but you do have to fight him in the game. I think someone made a kitbash of him too. Basically Megatron X is just his TM form but replace his fans with dragon wings.

I'm not sure when this game came out exactly but it'd be my guess TM2 Megatron wasn't around yet or they might of used that model insted of sticking wings on his first TM form.

There was also a video game during season 1 called just "Beast Wars", in fact they play it in the first (& some later) episode of Animorphs under the name of "Galactic Conquerer".
Its an alright game, bad graphics, bad voice acting, bad story, difficult to get past the first fekin level, but it's the only one available to me so I put up with it. ^^

The first Beast Wars game is kick-a$$!

As someone else mentioned, the first levels can be difficult, but once you play for awhile and memorize where the "drones" are it is very fun to play. The characters stats are different. First, you choose which side you want to be on and then you choose the character based on their strength and energon resistance bars or, if you want, from who is your favorite. As others have said, the voice acting and graphics are sub-par, but it is a very fun game if you are a person who likes to ignore the details and focus on gameplay.

The Transmetals game is quite boring. It is a fighter game with special moves and so forth, but they are usually just something that the character would do in the show without effort like Rampage turning to tank mode and firing his cannon. The environments are dull and not interactive, which leads to boredom quickly. The camera angles are a mess always going from one screwed-up semi-ariel view to a different one without warning.

Actully the backround moves with the characters. It's not without warning at all.

The game is boring though if you're playing by yourself. The Arcade mode is a simple thing. You pick a character then fight everyone else in the game that isn't you. (includeing guys on your own side.)

It's allso verry lame as it ONLY has thoughs 8 characters. Each of them has exactly 4 color scemes. Why? I have no idea it's only a 2 player game and you can't even choose the same character on both players. (I don't think, it's been a while)

The "ulockable" characters and the unplayable Megatron X count as part of the 4 different color scemes.

Optimus Primal - Show Colors, Predacon verson, and 2 others I don't really remember at the moment.

Cheetor - Show colors, Red toy version, Tigatron, and Ravage.

Rattrap - Show colors, Alternate toy colors, Predacon version, and original colors (this last one made him look like his original form in beast mode before he was transmetal)

Ect.

The only difference from the characters other than color was that it would actully replace the voice so even though visually you were just playing a White Cheetor you would actully hear Tigatron speaking.

The arcade mode is allso exstemely boreing because there's nothing to unlock by PLAYING this game. All yo have to do is hold down Z like I said in my last post, everything is allready unlocked.

If you like 2 player fighting games and you have someone to play with then BWT can actully be fun. If you're playing alone play something else.

I had the original PS Beast Wars game. It was a bit too tricky and a bit too rubbish for me to really get into.
I've also got the ps2 Armada-era game, but its still in the cellophane. It did only cost me a fiver ($2.50 of your puny American dollars) so I'm not too anxious to play it.
I think a TF MMORPG could be interesting.
