Probably the same reason there's no Trailbreaker, Powerglide, Warpath, Beachcomber, etc etc.

Because they just don't suit the line of the day.

Astrotrain, if given the correct scale, is super gigantic! Probably twice the size of Devastator, with all six combined.

It will be difficult to fit him into anything in this generation of Transformers, where realism has suddenly become an important issue.

To a certain extent. Not totally.

That was why current generation of Megatron can never be a gun anymore.

The interior of Astrotrain is like the interior of the Tardis. :D

What's a Tardis?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TARDIS

Basically it's a phone box with a stupidly huge interior space.

I've never understood how people have no trouble with the idea of sentient giant robots that store their weapons in subspace, but ask them to also accept that said robots might also store some of their own body mass in subspace, and people start bemoaning a lack of reality.

The Tardis has its own walk-in wardrobe. Bill and Ted also have a less good Tardis of thier own.

Yes agreed Astrotrain is definably made by Timelords!

Astrotrain no longer in Tranformers?

He had a Classic that just came out this time last year(hmm, it's been a pretty quick year for me), and had a Timelines figure as well.

He's in the IDW Comic, and since Blitzwing is coming back in Animated, Astrotrain MIGHT too(remember, we've only seen the first line-up).

And Astrotrain isn't the only Transformer with sub-space inside him. The Galaxy Shuttle from Victory was huge in the show, but probably comporable to Star Saber in figure form. And in "Big Broadcast of 2006", Galvatron was seen exiting Blast Off.

And in Kremzeek!, Megatron hitched a ride in Ramjet. Or was it Thrust?

A Doctor Who/Transformers crossover.
Now that would be worth seeing!
Than again, you might have the same problem as with Terminator/Transformers:
Dalek: Exterminate!
Megatron: (steps on Dalek) Will someone get me a tissue?!?

Our solution is clear. Giant Daleks.

I hadn’t thought of that.
The Emperor could probably take on a Transformer.

Transformers would own the Daleks though.

They're not exactly the most threatening mechanisms ever devised...

I think even Wheelie could make short work of a rolling post box with an attitude problem.

Maybe not...

They're not post boxes, they're pepper shakers. True story.

And R2-D2 is a trash can. Also true.

Excuse me, guys. I'm just going to scratch my head.

I have no idea about these things. /:) But the funny part is, I wasn't even joking! :)) (Well, I might have been. Reports seem to vary, but it's been said that the Dalek design was inspired by a pepper shaker.)

Daleks, post box, shakers,... are these Latin words?
