Myself and my comrads have attempted numerous times to "PRE" register and have to recieve an email reply or anything..

I myself have personally emailed 8 times in the last month and still nothing...

I was just curious if anyone else has any experience or input or anything on this upcoming con....i mean dairycon...

Being on Geocities makes it very unbelievable.

I've heard of Dairycon before, but if it's the seventh-annual event, you'd THINK they'd be able to get a better host.

with only 2 bovine transformers coming to mind i'm thinking scam.

Try googling the info. Maybe a reputable TF site (besides seibs) can vouch for the real deal.

You'ld think they would contact a TF site to leak the info out if they're promoting/preregistering it online.

Dairycon is real, people. Unfortunately, it's a very smal con with a very smal target audience. I agree, Geocities suck as hosts with their stupid bandwidth limits.

I live in Wisconsin and I think it's in Fon du Lac. I have registered with them and am still waiting for my membership card. I'm only gonna go if i get it because it's the only way you can get the exclusive figure. The city is a good drive to just go to a small convention in the ballroom of a hotel. And I guess you have to preregister or you can't even get in. I also think they are more wiling to answer your request if you live in WI.

There are usually 2 exclusives. One is the actual Dairycon exclusive available to all attendees. The other is our version of the Club's free figure. Instead, you have to come get it rather than have it shipped to you.

The 2nd figure is only available to members of the Dairyland Transformers Fans (DTF).

Please be patient. I'll try to get Fred to swing by here and answer some questions.

Just to let you know, there is a VERY good chance that the confirmation e-mail got sent to your junk folder. I know mine did. I just remembered that.

As for the DTF, it's another Geo-cities site at http://www.dairylandtransfans.com

Basically, we're just an e-mail group that helps each other with customizing tips, toy sightings, and toy dealings. If it's related to Transformers, and it's related to Wisconsin, you'll find it here. Dairycon is basically our yearly get together for the DTF, but it has expanded and non-DTF members have been coming for the past couple conventions.

As for the questions about Fred, he's the organizer of Dairycon. He is also the driving force behind the DTF. I'm sure he's really busy now working on getting everything set up for the convention (such as producing the toys).

I'll let you know if I get a reply from him.

I think I may have finally received an email from the notoriously hard to pin down Defcon..I mean Fred the organizor of Dairycon

he seems like an all right bloke...I'd trust him wit my money!

but yeah I'm pretty excited about this Dairycon.. 1st transfan con ever for me!!

I love all things transformers except for anything after TM.. i kid, i kid..

but my ONE great hope is to finally track down the ALL ELUSIVE Transformers MUSIC LIBRARY, i'm talkin the scores, the matrix files. shoot even the NONE in existance 5CD ENTIRE MUsic library from japan....

wish me luck and i'll be sho to update you all wit whatever..

The figures themselves look great, and I'd tried joining their Yahoo group a few times, but got voted out every time (shame too, I live less than a mile from Wisconie & lived most of my life there)... Fred finally got in touch with me (thanks again Fender!), and told me as much... So, while I'd thought hard about preregistering & driving the 4 hours, 48 minutes (or 275.49 miles!) I've unfortunately decided against going this year... Not to mention that there has been absolutely NO information (not even a hint!) about what this year's exclusive item is... The reason for the picture is because the exclusives are always a surprise. For instance, Bailjumper and Flatfoot both came in boxes so you couldn't see what was inside until you opened it.

man the WORST thing has happened... I mean I never thought dairycon was a sham I more or less posted this to spark dialog and get in touch wit the DTF.. but man did it backfire.....

My cousin, my brother and my self have NOW been BANNED from dairycon....

..and its all my fault.. My cousin is currently NO LONGER speakin to me....

Long story short,

Dairycon people think we are SOMEHOW tryin to scam them for the exclusives.... these must be some crazy nice toys then huh?

FOLLOWING instructions is what got me in trouble...
Per the registration website if you don't receive a reply within 48 hours you’re supposed to email them again..

I sent them an email from my hotmail account...(since I don't have internet at home, my cousin made me the email account on hotmail like 8 years ago and it apparently shows his real name as the sender of emails) but it is my email and I use it for everything!! School, paypal ect, ect.

So he registered under his name, using HIS school email address, using HIS contact info..

I used the hotmail addy which again he created for me(which apparently may be why it has his real name also) but in the body of that email, I sent my OWN personal info along with my real name and contact info... he lives in IL and I live in WI so I didn't see how this could be an issue...or how it could be mixed up...

so I waited an ENTIRE month and never got anything...I spoke with my co-worker who is actually in the DTF group, he also emailed Fred personally askin if he received my registration info.. A week went by with no reply from Fred either to me or my friend in the DTF group.

I then made this post here, as my thought process was maybe he thought my email was spam so he deleted it and never got my registration, my hope again to spark dialog or bring out Fred to clarify this or that someone could get in touch wit him or the DTF to again clarify this... judgin by the replies in here I thought it succeeded....

Shortly thereafter my cousin and myself received an email from Fred himself statin the confusion was somehow caused by my hotmail with the send out name matchin my cousins school email and his real name. I replied to him via that email clearing up the matter to which I never received a response, 2 weeks go by, NOTHING from Fred in my email confirming or denying MY registration, my DTF contact again heard nothing, nothing on this post, nothing from PM's either from you guys here...

so again thinkin it was the whole spam issue business, I sent another registration request, NOW from my GMAIL account which also doubles as my ebay account,(since my real name was not available I jus made up a nickname when I made my gmail account 2 years ago) I again clarify who I am and that I am from Wisconsin and send the same personal info that I sent before from my hotmail account,.. 2 weeks go by and again NOTHING.. no response denying or confirming ANYTHING..

Now keep in mind PRE registration closes on 3/15/07, this is like a week or so before that, so heck yeah I"m panicking.. I don't want to miss out.. I check with my brother and cousin askin if THEY ever got anything, they say nothing(besides my cousin who got that email along with me from Fred noted above)...

as a desperate measure I try to register a THIRD TIME but again using my same name and personal info and stating why I’m doing this, but I do it from my wife's account and using that same email address(meanin her yahoo email) I attempt to JOIN the DTF group as maybe that way I can get in touch with someone to clear this whole mess up!!

Another 2 weeks go by and NOTHING!! no email from Fred, no email from the DTF... I had jus about gave up hope when outta the blue I get an email from Fred in my gmail account, now this Fred sounds mad nice, he jus informs me and I’ll quote his email:

Now we have a 'sean price' monicker? Dude, you have a lot of
names...... This is the information we have listed for you:

so yeah I think everything’s all cool based on this response.. so I fire back an email APOLOGIZIN greatly for the confusion and asking for forgiveness for it all.. I p.s. him about the status of my cousin and brothers registration...I never got a response back..

The very same day I get an email reply from Fred in my wife's yahoo email account where again I had attempted to join the DTF group...

again I’ll quote it:

SO again I reply to that email stating who I am, again the same person from WISCONSIN and again fire off my PERSONAL contact info, and DEEPLY and TRULY apologizing for the confusion I go on to give him my cousins email who again is from IL, I explain that and tell him that, his school email should be registered under an IL contact info so again not sure where the confusion is since i'm from Wisconsin and he's from IL and I’m no longer even using the hotmail addy...

I never get a response... and truly I think everything is okay, I"M under the assumption Fred is SUPER busy so thats why he never responds or so late in any response and I think its all gravy and we're good to go...

then on MONDAY March 19'th, 2007 the UNHOLY Bomb drops...

I come into work and receive an angry email from my cousin talkin about "thanks alot and thanks to your stupid antics you got us kicked outta dairycon" me not givin it much thought due to the last 2 emails I had received from Fred which led me to believe everything is all good, as quoted above...was SHOCKED to all get out when I go check my gmail account and my yahoo account sure enough have received the banned from dairycon emails... I mean WORST of all my cousin and brother are now somehow banned and they had nothing to do with my confusion so that’s why I’m tryin so desperately to amend things.. NOT TO MENTION my cousin is pretty p*sssed about this and has not spoken to me since that email...

All we got was this:

Your pre-regs for Dairycon have been cancelled. No further information
is available at this time.

thats it no explanation or anything....

come to find out thru my DTF contact... that dairycon somehow things WE are ALLL the same person.. and that I am somehow tryin to scam them for the exclusives... I don't know how they think this.. Being that ONE of their regulations is check in with a valid Drivers license..

Okay, calm down Sean. Fred has been working on trying to get things straightened out. I contacted him once more on your behalf.

Just don't be too disappointed if you somehow don't get in to Dairycon this year. We have a convention every year, so if things don't work out, there will be another full year to get things straightened out.

NOT a problem, like i sed earlier I am not upset nor mad in any way nor do i harbor ill will towards DTF or Fred..

Fred actually seems like a really chill dude, you know all around cool guy and whatnot..


and yeah your right I can accept my fate if i'm still banned and not allowed to attend Dairycon 07' but I'm more or less asking them to reconsider at least for my brother and cousin who are innocent in this and did nothing other then they somehow got associated with me...

That's cool. I hope you do come next year. It can be confusing for out-of-staters. Even though Dairycon is run by the DTF, they are somewhat 2 different entities. From what I've gathered, we've allowed out-of-staters to come to Dairycon (which will get you the Dairycon exclusive), however, membership to the DTF is strictly Moo-state residents (so that makes the extra exclusive even more exclusive).

Of course, this could all be solved if you would just move a few miles across the river.

Unfortunately, that's not too likely to happen anytime soon... (Real life really gets in the way of things, doesn't it?) Although Hudson is on our short list of places to move to when we finally do move!

But yes, I still want to go, but it just wasn't in the cards for this year! But, I'm still interested in attending in the future (as it is the nearest TF 'con to me!!!)

So, hopefully they do another run of Heffer... or just another character based on Huffer or Pipes, as the Huffer mold is my favorite minibot figure! (Trucking, it runs in the family!)

Funny, he is probably the most sought after exclusive, and he wasn't even an exclusive! The original Heffer was created by Jack of the DTF as an entry into the art competition.

I can definately confirm 2 being in existance as one was auctioned off last year with the profits going towards the convention center rental. However, there is a good chance there may be a few more out there (no more than 10, I'm sure).

I myself would love to have one, I tried bidding on the one last year, but a certain Psychotic Completist wanted it more.

....I was wondering if any of you had any updates on my situation?

or if the kind fender had suceeded or not in getting fred to come "talk" to me...

I mean at this point the con is like 13 days away... so i'm pretty much "not" gonna go unless some miracle of the DTF comes thru...

and yeah i guess the whole experience has soured for me, i mean all i did was OVERZEALOSLY attempt to register,still tho i did FOLLOW their own instructions...per the pre register instuctions: if you don't recieve an email response from us in 48 hours, please contact us.. which i tried to do...

but yeah I can't speak for my brother and cousin but i'm not sure i would want to go anymore... I mean if people are like this over the internet imagine what "they" might be like in person... all i wanted to do is meet and greet LIVE actual transformers fans.. you know get conversations and network, kinda like fender and methusalen in this very thread.

I mean at this point I jus want to know what happened? Fred seemed so cooL, and even one of my friends on the DTF who has been a member for more then 2 months got "attacked" when he tried to stick up and vouch for me..

from the bottom of my heart main... i just want this ugly chapter to be over, for real....

1. why did "we" ALL get banned? I mean basically i'm jus lookin for closure on this.. if I did SOMETHING WRONG let me know so i can at least TRY to correct it for next time..**REMEMBER** all we got is an stating we our pre registrations were cancelled no explanation or anything..

2. how could the DTF even think we were tryin to scam them since PER THEIR OWN instructions you have to check in with a valid drivers license....so how they thought i was one person i "guess" i could kinda see/understand... but how they thought i was gonna scam them makes no sense, since at most i would have got one set of exclusives wen i checked in....but i wouldn't be able to get anyting else...

3. I mean thru this all i would like to think i have been courteous and respectfull NOT once have I had an iLL thing to say about Fred, the DTF or the dairycon, NOT once have i resorted to name calling... but yet and still i on the other hand... have been blackballed, accused of being a thief, a scammer, a con artist and WORST of ALL( all this BECAUSE i actually/desperately wanted to attend the con and did all i could to attend, the emails, this post. ect.ect.) i am NOW being called a DRAMA-QUEEN....

i mean come on man.. thats uncalled for.. all i wanted to do was jus get down wit some tranformers and THEN, to meet people that share the love that i do for it.. that was jus gonna be cream on top..

but man did it turn out to be one ugly mutha....
